Can I turn my Baertschi into a Zary? Or will the previous nameplate being taken off ruin it? Especially with Zary being so much shorter. Will the edges of the nameplate look like crap?

When you search for a relevant thread and the only one is a decade old it's okay to start a new one
Although, it is fun to scan through these oldies and see all the posters you forgot about that are banned for life.

I hang onto bad jersey purchases with pride, no alterations allowed. The way I see it they're still part of the team's history. (Although I'd say valid exception for something like a Dube situation)
That said the Brouwer is definitely in the closet, not on the wall

I saw a post on r/hockey a few weeks ago that showed named and numbered Hart jerseys were on sale for $150 on NHL.com. My mind went to some grandparent who knows nothing of hockey wanting to get their grandkid a jersey and seeing this one on sale. Pretty crappy play by the NHL

Circa 2002 I got a friend a pro version Blasty jersey with Dennis Gauthier #3.
A few years later he called me and asked if it would hurt my feelings if he changed it to Phaneuf. Nice gesture on his part... but damn I should have spanked that down.

I thankfully don’t regret any of my jerseys. The closest I guess it’s the signed Gaudreau but that still has some value

I donated my theo jersey because I didn't want it anymore or meet the person who wanted to buy it.

Bought a Markstrom jersey, right before the start of the '22 BOA series...

That went straight into the closet until a few of months ago.

Hey, any exposure is good for the NHL in sales form. One of my employee's is not a sports fan at all. He told me when he first started he has no problem listening to Calgary radio because the Oilers have sucked since was born.

You sonofabitch...

You're going to make my 'Picard #69' jersey look like pure class!

Just my Eichel jersey, got some wear out of it for a few years but it’s been closeted since things went sour.
