I had a conversation the other day
Me: Even with his age, you have to admit Biden is killing it. Inflation is down, the economy is booming, and job rate is higher than anyone ever thought
Random Dude: Yeah, but all he's doing it listening to his advisors
Me: Well, yeah... that's the job. He hires the best people, then says 'do that'. Oh you're an expert on the economy and we should do X, ok do X; say you're an environmental expert and we should do Y then do Y. It's not the President's job to come up with the solution to literally every problem.
I compare it to a retail management job I once had where I turned a business around, when the board members asked me how I did it, I explained "I set prices based on costs, and ensured similar products were priced the same, then ensured the layout had complimentary products by each other". Their responce was "Well, any idiot would do that" to which I replied "You'd think that, but somehow I'm the only one that did."
To me, Biden's acting the role of President **EXACTLY** how he should, surrounding himself with smarter people then doing what they suggest.
There's an old saying "If you think you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room." Funny enough, the smartest people I know all say "I'm an idiot" then ask a ton of questions.

Hilarious to think that Biden has a cognitive decline issue, but Trump is totally normal. Have you heard some of the crazy #### on this latest campaign? It puts "person woman, man, camera, t.v." to shame. Dude has gone full blown nutter, and nobody notices because he's always been nutter to a certain degree.

Kind of a fascinating interview. I personally despise both of them. I’m glad the interview happened. Canada‘s parliament applauding a known Nazi came up, I was hoping it didn’t get that much international fanfare.

The choice couldn't be easier for Americans:
Re-elect Biden and you get a decent, normal, boring, mildly senile president who actually cares about the country and surrounds himself with intelligent, qualified people to help run the show.
Re-elect Trump and you get to watch your country descend into full-blown fascism, led by one of the most dangerous, narcissistic, reprehensible sacks of s*** to ever walk the planet. A treasonous a**hole who led a violent coup to try and overturn a free election and stay in power.

As opposed to Trump, who hires advisors and ignores their advice then fires said advisors. Rinse and repeat.

Trump's cognitive issues aren't even the biggest concern.
But apparently if I don't follow up every post where I point out Biden stumbling around not knowing where he is with a subsequent post saying 'oh right, lets not forget Trump's stupidity, delusional rambling and idiocy' then I'm the one with the problem.
But then again Mathgod has always had tunnel vision. Look at the Climate Change thread.

Who pissed in your cornflakes again? Is this really how you want to start your Friday?
You seem angry way too often. It might be time for some relaxation, a beach, and perhaps a little progressive microdose of psilocybin to soothe those nerves?

Biden: *stumbles over a few words in a speech*
Trump: *goes on demented, fascist rant full of gibberish*
Azure: "Guys, look at how senile Biden is."
If you don't see how that's problematic, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Didn't Bidens council recommend dropping charges due to his diminished mental capacity?
The guy running the country?
It's not occasional verbal gaffes. The dude doesn't know what planet he's on.

100% this. The first step of any analysis of performance is what has actually happened.
If you like what happened then reflect if the means the leader to took to get there were immoral, illegal, or dishonest.
If you aren't happy with the outcome then it doesn't matter how personable, attractive, or smart the leader is, it's still a failure.
Smart people get other smart people on the team, and then get out of the way.

No. I think you need some reading comprehension or stop looking at the "news" sources you keep getting misinformed from.
It is a reality though that both major candidates are likely to have some diminished mental acuity due to their age. Trump can't tell the difference between the woman he raped and his ex wife or the former house speaker and his primary opponent, and Biden keeps making gaffes by saying the wrong names like a lot of people his age.
The big difference is one wants to rule as a dictator and the other wants to put competent people in charge

Biden kept his notes which people from previous administrations have done before. The special counsel said there was a shortage of evidence about intent and that it didn't meet the burden of proof at a trial.
The rest seems like Hur channeling his inner James Comey.
It'd be nice to have someone other than Biden.. who knows if he's running again out of selfishness or if he honestly believes only he can beat Trump.

Not sure what Trump has to do with this or why you would bring it up, other than to deflect and poison the well.
"The decision on Thursday not to file criminal charges against President Biden for mishandling classified documents should have been an unequivocal legal exoneration.
Instead, it was a political disaster.
The investigation into Mr. Biden’s handling of the documents after being vice president concluded that he was a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” and had “diminished faculties in advancing age” — such startling assertions that they prompted a fiery and emotional attempt at political damage control from the president within hours."
Look at it however you want, the guy should be in the old folks home, not running what's considered the most powerful nation on earth.
His press conference came across as bitter and petulant as he insulted reporters, kinda like Trump, since he needs to be included in every us political discussion.
Biden is a train wreck, looks weak, and unless the DNC can come up with a candidate who can inspire all Americans, everyone here can look forward to whining about the orange man for another 4 years.
