That period should tell NJD exactly why they need Markstrom.

Marky made a huge difference in the opening 20.

Huberdeau looks like the guy we thought we were getting. Loving that line.

People seem to be forgetting what the player wants. He is not auditioning for the Devils, he is trying to win games for Calgary.

NJ needs a goalie, but that was a tough goal. Backlund got that puck off in a hurry and Vanacek was still protecting against the short side play until it was too late. Good hard pass by Bread.

I'd say Markstrom pulled some rabbits out of a hat though. He made some great saves.

The Flames' Defensive coverage left a fair bit to be desired.
