So you see, Chalmers is a Canucks fan and loved Kuzmenko.
He was being incredibly sarcastic, because Kuzmenko was very concerned about the goalie he bumped into accidentally.

Can you slow it down, Einstein? Now I'm confused what I meant.

Is he always like that or was it new situation jitters?
Considering he's even like this after a slapshot to the face I think you have your answer.

Honestly, being a guy that gets to play in an elite league with the perks that come with it, I'm surprised that a lot of these players are as serious and rigid as they are/come off.
Like, why not be flexible and have fun? It's a short career. See places, make a great living. Worry about settling down and planting roots later. There will still be lots of life left then.
I think for half of them they see their job threatened by the next 100 guys up.
Will be interesting to see how good Lindholm looks the rest of the year with the Canucks? He has never looked the same since Tkachuk and Gaudreau left and I wonder if it wasn’t just losing their on-ice skill that has hindered him but also just his motivation/place on the team. Warrener brought up on their podcast a few weeks ago how it feels when the guys you are close with on the team and play on a line with are traded… how much less fun it becomes.
I could definitely see a resurgence of Lindholm in Vancouver now. I think he’ll be picking corners on his wicked release again and being a force in the offensive zone. I think he’ll be at/near a point-per-game the rest of the season.

With him coasting/mind not in the game this year, to get up to speed, literally mid season, is a challenge. I’m a bit skeptical he’ll get back to his form from a couple years ago, because it takes awhile to get back into form, but we’ll see shortly.

Maybe - he's going to have to get used to RW again. He will likely be playing with Pettersson however.

I think Rutherford said that the plan is to try Lindholm at center first. Both Lindholm and Pettersen can play C/RW, so they'll be experimenting with both. The plan is definitely to play them together and have Miller on another line.

Rutherford isn't the coach. The line rushes on Sunday and Monday were
Mihkeyev - Pettersson - Lindholm.

I imagine they might do RH/LH faceoffs like Lindholm did with Monahan.
It probably doesn't matter; Lindholm will take most of the draws as he is a career 55% guy whereas Pettersson doesn't crack 50. Pettersson will carry the puck regardless of whether you want to call him C or W because that's what he does. On that line, you'd think Lindholm will mostly just shoot.

I have zero doubts that Lindholm will take draws. I have zero doubts that Lindholm and Pettersson will essentially be alternating center duties, no matter who starts on the dot. That's why Lindholm was such a coveted piece by the Canucks.

My favorite Lindy goal of all his goals, even better than the one where he bodies John Carlson for a goal:
Won't play for me. Is the Carlson one where he just takes the puck away from a defender with just physicality, makes a good move and scores? Or is that the one you posted? I remember that goal - maybe one of the nicest hockey goals I've seen. Better than all those highlight reel goals where a player dangles through a bunch of guys who forget how to play D.

I also wonder if people with a more laid back personality type are less likely to succeed at such a high level. It seems like the most likely path is to be a bit of a psychopath with at least one overbearing neurotic parent to power you through to the elite levels of sport.
