Have the players misses a paycheque? If they want to be "partners" put up some cash, or as a true "partner" put up some money for expenses.
Until then, play and cash your guaranteed cheque.

This appears to be somewhat timely

There is a Phoenix land meeting scheduled for Feb 8 that is expected to have a substantive update. Wonder if the Walsh comments prompted the team to leak this today

Believe it's off the ring road right by where it turns to go south through the reserve

Please excuse my ignorance of the area but just by looking at google maps, this seems just as remote as Glendale was.
How is it better?
Is the east side better than the west?

From an article in the Republic.
That land is managed by the Arizona State Land Department and parcels must go to a public auction before they can be sold to the highest bidder.
Before an auction, a land sale must be approved by the Arizona State Land Department Board of Appeals and Commissioner Robyn Sahid. The land must be appraised and publicly advertised for sale for at least 10 weeks. It is a lengthy process that the department tells applicants “may exceed 12 months.”

East side is more densely populated and includes Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, and the eastern side of Phoenix, plus reserve lands.

Yeah, this has stall tactic written all over it. They just want to make it look like they are trying.
I don't care if Arizona has a team. In fact, I like that there is a team there balancing out the geography of the league, and it's a big and growing market. But if they can't make it work, then maybe it's time move and try that market again once they get an arena in the works, in an area a casual fanbase doesn't mind driving to.

Rumour in AZ is that the Coyotes initially started the application process for the NE Phoenix site back in June, a month after the failed Tempe vote. Would mean they'd likely be a lot further along in that 12-month timeframe.

I think the June part is true and this news that’s being reported doesn’t really state that anything at all has happened since then. Some council member said he met with them months ago.
I have no idea what they’re doing but my guess is this is not the land they are focused on.

Still think they should JV with the Wee Ko Pa Band. Gorgeous golf courses and there’s already a casino and resort there.

Still about a 25-30 min drive from this new north location to Tempe/Mesa and a little more to Gilbert/Chandler?
Better than Glendale but I’m not sure it’s quite the target location they need at this point.

Utah already put in an application for an expansion team.
Relocate them asap. Garbage franchise with 5 fans.
