I can't imagine a scenario where a winger like him brings in a 1st round pick as a rental unless he gets back to his 2022/23 production.

Oh man, Montreal came out like bandits here. I’m shocked he got that much. Now it really looks like Tanev and others should be dangled. If Monahan goes for that much how much can we get for others? This seems like a great market.

I don't like this deal for Winnipeg. Gotta love Monahan, but even if he's able to stay healthy, I don't like the chances of having this kind of positive impact on the Jets.

My opinion of a GM has not taken a complete nosedive like it has for Treliving. He has taken the torch from Sutter who I was a huge fan of until the Phaneuf and Jokinen trades in 2010.

Treliving quit on the team and left them in a really rough state being locked in to so many long term deals. Pissing away the 1st to dump Monahan to only sign Kadri when this team needs a rebuild is infuriating.

In a typical year I would cheer for the Leafs over the Canucks but now the Leafs are only second to the Oilers for teams I do not want to win anything.
