If he performs and fills the net without hurting the team he might return another asset net deadline. Risk associated with that which the Flames are not being compensated for IMO. So where is this WAY more return?

Does anything ever please you?
Conroy did better than everyone expected.
I’d argue Brzu is a B+, VERY close to an A- prospect with the D+1 he’s having.

Creating a competitive environment doesn't mean he can't make moves for the betterment of the future.

All B prospects lead the OHL in points for a defencemen and are 3rd overall in their D+1 year.

I've been really wanting Flames to be able to acquire Mavrik Bourque.
Perhaps for Hanifin.

I'm pretty OK with that. As long as he doesn't bring in aging vets to help...all good. The first shoe has dropped. More to come. News at 11....

Is it just me or does Pronman always hate our prospects?
Does anyone know what his thoughts on Andersson and/or Kylington were?

He was highly touted from the KHL for a reason, this isn't a one year wonder scenario. He's been a solid player outside the NHL for many years. I wouldn't write him off after half a season on a deep Canucks squad.

He has qualities, but the Tocchet (similar to Sutter) guidelines are not something he seems to be able to deal with. Highly skilled player and quality finisher vs a coach who wants everyone to adhere to his plan. Kuz doesn't seem to be able to play to the Coaches strengths while also being a scorer. Maybe we can rehab him. Maybe not. Maybe we should just let the forwards go, 'cause there isn't all that much chance left at getting in.

Pretty big upgrade in a short period of time

First thing I was thinking when I saw possible returns was it all these forwards. But we are going to be down 2 D and our 3rd pairing is at best meh. I'm with you shoring up the defensive prospects is a good move.

Maybe just confirmation bias, but that was about as blunt of an admission of tanking as i've seen from this org since maybe 2013ish. Look at the face Conroy makes when Natasha asks him about the wildcard race. haha.

. Pronman had flames like mid 20s when they had tkachuk/andersson and Mangipane all in their system.
