'Carollago' Resort has a nice ring and it would send him utterly barmy, in seriousness he cant 'just not pay it' as it is a court judgement, not paying contractors works because of the cost and time it takes for them to go to court and get a judgement makes it not worth it for them, it also opens a huge window for her to demand an accounting of his assets and liabilities in open court if he doesnt pay
This all stems from a guy that raped a woman, then defamed her afterwards regarding the incident. This guy is a former President of the United States... More people (80M) voted for him in 2020 than voted for the alternative choice. Lol America is ####ed!
More people voted for Trump in 2020 than voted for Clinton in 2016, 74 million vs 66 million, maybe that's what they meant? That's actually the way I read it for some reason.

'There's no appeal here': Lawyer shows how Alina Habba dashed Trump's hope of nixing award (Opinion)
Quote:
The former president has said he intends to appeal the jury's award, but Nashville attorney Brian Manookian said not so fast to that.
"Let me ruin the suspense for everyone. Trump doesn't have an appeal," he said on Friday. "I know the talking heads on TV (who have never tried a case or appealed a jury verdict) have to mention it. Here's why it isn't going to fly."
Manookian went on to say that, in order to have a meritorious case on appeal, "you have to preserve a reversible error at the trial level."
Quote:
"This is why you hire competent counsel. You need someone who actually knows the rules of evidence and procedure. Alina Habba had no clue what was occurring throughout the trial," he added. "She not only failed to preserve any remote grounds for appeal, like a moron, she repeatedly and unintentionally waived them over and over."
He went on to include an example of Habba bungling the potential for a reversal.
"For example, she kept saying 'no objection' as exhibits were entered into evidence. It appeared to me that she was saying that because she that's something she had heard real lawyers say before," he said Friday. "Unfortunately for Mr. Trump, what she was doing over and over was waiving his ability to appeal over those evidentiary issues. Because she is a moron who would rather *play* lawyer than do the research to *be* a lawyer."
You know, news organizations typically used to engage actual legal experts to analyze these things rather than just quoting some random tweet. Maybe someone could figure out if she actually had ground to object in literally any of those instances?

To me the most telling part of vote totals is that in 2020 Trump managed to get 5 million more votes than the first time even after a dumpster fire of a term. Thankfully he lost, but the electorate down here is FUBAR.

These later seasons of MAGA just don't have the creative umph of the first few. Kitty litter in classrooms, pronouns, and bringing in a celebrity like Taylor Swift to boost ratings just can't measure up to the Proud Boys, curing COVID with animal dewormer, and an insurrection.
