Fad but if the Chiefs get to the Super Bowl the hype will be a big bonus for the NFL.

This.
I keep seeing things like "only if Diggs caught that ball" which actually would have been a pretty great play by Diggs and Allen but was in no way a sure thing.
But also completely ignoring that if Hardman just goes down instead of fighting for the TD on 1st & goal from the 2 yard line the game likely isn't even that close.
Chiefs were easily the better team and deserved to win IMO.

I saw that Bass had to suspend all Social Media accounts due to death threats and other stuff. The kick was to tie the game and give the balk back to the Chiefs with 1:47 left. It's not like the Norwood one that lost the game. It cost them an opportunity to stay in the game for the last 2 minutes.

Mahomes with 1:45 and two timeouts is probably 50/50 to score a TD and 90/10 to get a FG, so yeah acting like Bass outright cost them the game is pretty sad.

There will always be bad apples in any fanbase that do crap like this.
Fortunately I've heard that a local charity he supports, a cat rescue facility, has seen close to $200K in donations in his name since the game as well. So hopefully the good is outweighing the bad. These are still people at the end of the day.

Exactly. Go back and give him the kick, they're still going to lose.
Just going back to that game, I was looking at the crazy 2017 Draft again, and forgot the Chiefs actually traded with the Bills of all teams to leap ahead of the Saints (Payton reportedly was going to take Mahomes) and take Mahomes. Essentially, the Bills gave the Chiefs the key to their own suffering. Wild.

Niners, Ravens I guess.
Ravens are the better team right now, but I really don't feel good going against Mahomes. He's such an X factor. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Chiefs win it all again.

Ravens activated Andrews off IR today. Looks like Joe Thuney will be out as a pec injury for a guard is like an elbow injury for a QB on his throwing arm. I want the Chiefs to win, but Baltimore is too strong here. Ravens should win this one.
Like others I'd like to see a Lions win, but have to side with the chalk and take the 49'ers.

Well based on the Super Bowl logo the 2024 script had it being Ravens vs 49ers
But I have a hard time betting against the Chiefs in a big game unless the opponent is Tom Brady.

If Deebo is cleared to play its going to be very tough for the Lions to win this game, the 49ers are pretty much undefeated when all three of Purdy, McCaffery and Samuel are all in the lineup.
As a lifelong Niners fan who has not seen a superbowl win since Steve Young was QB throwing to Jerry Rice, its somewhat fitting that if the 49ers get past the Lions they end up playing one of the last 2 teams they lost to in the Superbowl. It would be sweet revenge.

Ravens 30 Chiefs 21
49ers 38 Lions 16
Tough to go against the SB logo conspiracy when it's this close to happening. But ultimately I just think the Ravens and 49ers have much bigger margins for error to win, they can play their B game and still win, I can't see it with the Lions or Chiefs, they need to be close to perfect. And even though it is tough to pick against Mahomes, I think the Chiefs have benefited from playing the battered Dolphins and Bills defenses to get here, the Ravens are almost fully healthy on defense, save for Humphrey.

So far my picks have been terrible...
Ravens 31-17 over the Chiefs. They'll be able to do what the Bill's did running the ball and dominate the clock. Chiefs won't have the same success on offence against a much healthier defense they did last week.
49'ers 28-20 over the Lions. I think SF will have success throwing the ball here. Detroit will stay in the game, but in the end the more experienced 49'er roster will prevail.
So yeah, I'm a chalk eating weasel today. Hopefully at least one of my picks is wrong if not both.

Terrible start for Ravens. A quick 3 and out followed by a Chiefs TD.

Almost flawless start for the Chiefs, did they rope a dope us with their offense in the regular season?

Lot of football left but chiefs looking like a team from a different league. Ravens really need a sustained drive now
