Damn, some news to wake up to. I was hoping he’d see this mini-rebuild through for a few more seasons.
What an incredible manager he has been, absolutely top class as a coach and as a person. He will go down as one of the all-time greats and will be dearly missed.

Wow very surprising news and one that will have ramifications across the sport. He was an innovator who always puts his players first.
Wonder who they’re eyeing as the successor

Hell of a manager, it's sad for the league to lose a manager who consistently produces very enjoyable teams to watch. Wonder how much the grind of last season took out of him. I would expect De Zerbi or Alonso will be the prime candidates to take over.

I knew the day would come obviously but wasn't expecting it so soon and like this with an out of the blue announcement. A bit in shock tbh. One of the greats, we'll miss him and I just hope this doesn't result in a spiral a la Dalglish leaving or Ferguson.

Absolute legend.
Right up there with Ancelloti, Ranieri, Pellegrini and of course Conte with his single PL title.
Not to mention matching van Gaal and Rogers in FA cups.
Legend.

Well to be fair they might have two if they win this year, and if they win this year then I think that would be a decent run for them in an era where City just generally buys the title every year.

Liverpool fans will see him as a legend for far more then just his trophy count.

Yup. And football fans will understand that he revolutionized the game.
For years he's gone toe-to-toe with Guardiola despite vastly inferior resources and he's taken his pound of flesh.
Put Klopp in charge of a Petro-Club with unlimited resources? See what happens.
The man is, and will always be, a Legend.

it's tough. Saying "Pfff he only won one title" because it's Liverpool, or admitting he should have two more because everything City have done shouldn't count ...

Whenever a long-time manager leaves a club, that club will be sh*t for the next decade plus, or never recovers. Look at Man Utd post-Ferguson and Arsenal post-Wenger...
I am guessing same will happen with City post-Pep. But maybe not, they can buy anything and anyone.....
I hope the next Liverpool manager can carry on with the good work Klopp has been doing...

City wins with a late one from a corner, and that's the end of the FA Cup for Spurs.

Take out a petroclub employing infinite cheat mode, Klopp’s hit rate would’ve been right up there with the best.
He has been and continues to be the architect of a club playing fantastic football and which on at least two occasions has been the best club nit to win a title. And we all know the 115 reasons behind that.

Klopp is the only reason the Premier League isn’t viewed like the Bundesliga/Ligue 1/Serie A (until recently) as a one team league. City would’ve run away with it the last half decade +

Yeah I agree he's performed exceptionally well during a very tough period where the league was letting City run rampant with what looked like financial abuses/inflated sponsorships. I'm expecting that once him and Pep move on and with the new more stringent policing going on that we could see a few more exiting title races with new blood involved

Steps down just after Mourinho gets tossed at Roma? Coincidence?
... probably yeah, but it would still be hilarious.

No argument that its entertaining. But it's laughable that some are claiming his geggenpressing to be revolutionary.
We're all in agreement post SAF United have been absolutely garbage with managers and their decisions being nothing short of embarrassing.
Having said that it's worth noting that Klopp also has managed to finish below the last 4 United managers. Klopp has had three good deals on the seasons.
Pep revolutionised the game. Wenger revolutionised the game.
Question. Would you rank him above or below Wenger.?

Yeah, you can tell that he just puts 110% of himself into it, the man is super-intense and he had planned to take time off after Dortmund and Liverpool just wouldnt back down.
I think he needs a break and maybe a new challenge?
On one hand I would not be surprised to eventually see him as the Germany manager.
I mean, you've got him in Germany managing Dortmund against a stacked Bayern.
You've got him in England managing Liverpool against 'Cheat Code' City.
It'd be nice to see what he could do with unlimited resources.

honestly? I don't think he'd do all that much.
Guardiola thrives with an open chequebook, so he can have a super deep squad that can execute his style
Klopp thrives in a no-diva, mentality-first environment, where the sum is more than the parts
let them switch positions and I doubt either one will have as much success.

hasn't been confirmed, but there's rumours in Spain that Arteta will leave Arsenal this summer. We'll see if that rumour has merit, but given there'll be a vacancy at Barcelona, who knows?

With the absence of Trent, Robertson and Tsimikas this Conor Bradley kid looks like a player! Calm and his passing looks great.
