Latter, and just my opinion from the stories that come out once in a while from locking Sutter out of the room until now. Just seems like every season or two there is some issue, whether originating directly in the room or caused by management.

Maybe it’s just a natural part of a rebuilding team, but sure seems worse with them.

Looks loke Dubois doesn't have trade protection until next seaaon.

If I'm LA in cutting my losses and moving him before it's too late. Move him for free if you can.

Lots ot teams need centers. Have to think someone would take him for free.

Flames being one of them? Might be worth a gamble considering our dearth of skilled centers. Maybe playing with two francophones like Huberdeau and Pelletier would help straighten his head out. Not a fan of Dubois, but if he could get his #### together he would be a great addition, especially when you look at the Flames' center depth.

I have less than 0 interest in Dubois. Guy pouted in Columbus, Winnipeg, and now LA? What a head case

I would also gamble on Dubois.

He isn't fitting into thier system and when he is motivated he can be a real force.

If it didn't work out though the Flames would be stuck with yet another gigantic contract so I doubt management would actually consider it.

Motivation issues have plagued him since junior.
When he wants to dominate he can completely take over a game, the problem is he disappears for LONG stretches of time and just floats.

"Insert controller disconnect video here"

Not worth the cost/risk imo.

I wouldnt touch him.

He's toxic and selfish. Drags any team he's on down.

Would hate to have to cheer for a team with him on it.

I'd be interested - the Flames have done well with Sharangovich - but that contract makes the risk not worth it.

I wonder - was Doughty saying "guys" in order to not directly point at one individual or are there others who he is criticizing aside from the obvious PLD. Not Kopitar or Danault obviously, and I doubt it's Byfield, but who else might be a "points over team" guy? Fiala? he's a newish guy and therefore not in Doughty's circle.

Back when the rumours of MIN moving on from Fiala first surfaced, word was while he’s a skilled guy, the Wild didn’t feel he was a winner. Teams typically don’t trade guys that skilled and productive at that age. Not that there were any rumours he was a ###### or anything. But he might fit the bill of “a guy more interested in points.”

I haven't watched him at all. +/- is a crappy stat but among their top forwards he and JLD are the only minuses (the latter in a big way).

No interest in Dubois, and he has 5 more years after this one at $8.5M, but if we were willing to take him off their hands, in exchange for Lindholm, I would have to think they would pay quite a price for that. Obviously, it would have to be crazy-good to make the Flames take on that contract, but maybe it's worth it to the Kings to pay up?

What would it take?

Send them Huberdeau. He's good in the room. And Dubois loves it in Western Canada. I assume. I'm not great at reading people.

If he can't get going in a place where he WANTED to go, it's not going to happen here.

He pouted in Columbus, pouted in Winnipeg. I have a feeling he would pout in Calgary. The Flames are going to get younger in the coming seasons and I don't think he's the type of guy you want to expose to your up and coming prospects.

Don't touch Dubois with a 100ft pole. Dude can't find it in L.A, he's never going to find it. Yall think Hubeys deal is worst in the league? I'm looking right at Dubois 8.5. What a nightmare for the Kings.

we don't even know it's dubois for sure, there's no rumors just assumptions based on his past record. could be everyone is fed up with big mouth doughty for all we know. Or they just aren't that good and Talbot's first half was a mirage. Being bad tends to make a dressing room bad
