Unfortunately didn’t see the game tonight.

Going on Thursday and Saturday.

Should I be angry? Saw the score at 3-1 and thought we were in great shape.

We are sucking but history shows we never suck enough lol. This team is not well put together. The number of grade A chances we give up let alone an inept power play is a telling story. Would have been a good year for our goalies to suck.

Tough loss but was still an entertaining game. Early taste of the life of a rebuilding Flames team fan...don't hate it.

In what sense? Come out flat after a long break? Thats a tale as old as time.

Consider yourself fortunate you didn't have to witness that bed####ting.

pretty important part

That’s the classic Flames recipe.

Show you what they really are. Then suck you back in.

Not sure why. Not like they're defensive stalwarts or setting the league on fire, exactly.

I think it speaks to how aggressively poor their defensive posture is when they out-stink poor defensive teams like this.

There's certain teams with this team.... (blues, hawks, oilers, jackets, senators, stars at home, etc)

My one niggling fear this season was looking like it was coming to pass. The team was on a four game winning streak and on the up and up. They may even fight for a playoff spot. A lot of people say "don't worry Conroy knows he has to sell" etc. But the one thing no one can know is what Murray is thinking. And we all know he's down with playoffs at the expense of continuing mediocrity.

I hate it when the team loses but if that takes the decision from Murray and allows Conroy the room to make trades then I'm all for it. Conroy can be as smart and savvy as he likes but if ME wants to go for playoffs and keeps players even if they aren't worth it, then losing games like tonight will help.

That sucked. Felt like the Flames played great half the time and were a disaster the other half. No in between.

It’s time to start executing the non playoff plan. Even if they somehow manage to squeek in it’ll be in the WC2 spot and they will get pounded.

It’s time to acknowledge that and start moving pieces out.

This team is going to be unwatchable soon. Probably for a few seasons. I’m not really looking forward to that.

Agreed on the in-game inconsistency. Baffling. That said, to have three straight losses on 1. A video review like I’ve never seen before 2. A behind the net ricochet like I’ve never seen before and 3. A deflected skip shot on a one on two with under a minute to go…that’s a really tough stretch of luck. Gotta create your own luck though and our refusal to shoot on slot chances is just one area that has to change in that regard.

Attended the game, Flames started out really slow. Markstrom made some huge saves

Thought when it was 3-1, the game was over, Flames were dominating.

Then the short handed goal occurred, bad luck.

Blues totally took over after that

Entertaining game. Too many breakaway opportunities given by our veteran defencemen. Markstrom great at times but maybe playing too deep on a couple of goals?

Markstrom and Weegar have been two of our best players this year but Weegar turned this game from a comfortable win into a tight game all on his own for no reason, and Markstrom has to save both of those shots given the situation. They both really let the team down last night. Sigh and move on.
