Small blessings this year that we don’t have to watch senior citizens mail it in.
It is more fun watching 20 somethings mail it in. Sort of.

The ASG break no. But their full week off before the ASG break, yes.

I would sell Markstrom if I can along with the UFAs but I doubt there is a real market for him
For him or his contract? For him?.......absolutely. He's elite this season. His NMC may play a factor, however.

This one hurts but I don’t see it as some kind of nail on the decision making coffin for management.

They’re still only four points out. The sun will come up tomorrow. And there’s a chance they’re only two points after Thursdays game against a weak team.

28 and 8 get dealt. 55 will re-sign.

Nothing else is gonna happen.

Yeah it is not helping that Oilers have turned their season around and are the darlings of the league again. Can only hope that they are peaking too early.

Well you can’t sell him without his contract

They are in 12th place. Suspect that the 12th place team that has 35 games left rarely makes the playoffs. Probably need to finish at 92 points to make it so they would have to go 22-12-1 over the final 35 games (play at a 105 point pace). Seems unlikely.

I think Coleman might be sought after as well. Type of guy that teams want for the playoffs, and a fair contract without big term.

I just hope Conroy is not too in love with any of these guys, this is a big moment for the future of the franchise.

I didn't know that. I was asking why you thought there was no demand for him. If it's his contract, just say so.

Plus it’s impossible if they are truly selling

One non UFA player I'd like to see moved, Mangiapane. Had a small resurgence after being reunited with Backs and Coleman but I'm seeing a lot of the struggle coming back to his game.

Way too loose in their play.

He's already traded Toffoli and Zadorov and said before he's not going to walk a bunch of UFAs to free agency. Besides Hanifin, I don't think there's a chance the others are staying.

That was a critical loss. One positive thing though is that I was taking a look at Tampa's roster when they sucked and ended up drafting Drouin before bouncing back and you could see guys like Palat, Johnson, Gudas, and Killorn got a solid taste of the NHL at 21/22 before coming back the next season and being important pieces on a 102 point team.

Hopefully Zary, Pospisil, Coronato, Pelletier, and Solovyov can get themselves established this season and be (or for Zary and Pospisil continue to be) contributors next year for a stronger push.

Also, with some lottery luck or even just by dropping to draft 6 or 7, I think they can get a 1C or 1D in this draft.

I'm honestly not even mad, it was kind of impressive after going up 3-1.

Toffoli and Zadorov both requested trades.

...I think the fanbase is cautiously optimistic that Conroy will keep his eye on the long term, but until it actually happens...

It’s complicated. NMC, large contract for multiple years.
He is good but not good enough to make that big gamble.
Also Conroy has a lot of thing to deal with, he is no where close to a priority
