Sloppy game, flames skated well particularily in the 2nd. They had lots of pressure but threw it all away without ever getting a clean look. Tbf the oilers are playing better checking hockey than they have in maybe 2 decades right now. Sucks to waste a strong Vladar game too. Not disappointed in the effort , but execution was a problem once again.

No one outside of d-men who don't have great shots to begin with are intent on shooting when they're cycling the o-zone.

This pressure culminating in a weak blocked shot or intercepted pass is frustrating to watch.

Also no one wants to put themselves in front of the net unless it's a clear cut odd man rush. How many shifts where someone was in possession of the puck behind the net with no one in front.

This team just doesn't understand the philosophy of scoring goals.

Sharky is a shooter. But he was off his game on Saturday.

Yeah, unfortunately. Going in, I thought we could book a snipe from him the way he's been going.

We need 3 sharkies on this team, because the rest of the guys except for goalman suck at closing and can't seem to put a puck in a dangerous spot with any velocity or accuracy.
