Sounds like a team that is really going in "hard" for the best player available at the deadline.

So this is what I was talking about when I brought up Horvat and Miller. Those offers may not be there. Look at Lindholm's performance this year. Lindholm has made it pretty clear he is not re-signing in Calgary. Now go through the NHL, how many teams are gearing up and definitely need a 2nd line center? How many of them have the assets you want? How many have the stomach to move what you're asking for?
If a team were come to you and offer you your ask (A 1st and a prospect) but at the lower side of your scale, are you going to say outright no? Are you going to wait to see if something better comes? How long are you going to wait? Wait too long and suddenly you might get nothing. Canucks had a deal with NYR on the table. Balked. Went back in the summer and asked again, and by then the Rangers had moved on. It worked out for the Canucks, but it very well could have blown up big time. In turn when the same thing came up with Horvat, NYI met the offer. While it was at the lower side of what the Canucks wanted they remembered the mis-step with Miller and took it.
Trading at the deadline is a game of chicken.

You severely overrate Lindholm's status. I'd much prefer Eriksson Ek.

Podkolzin was injured earlier this year I think. I seem to remember him being stretchered off or something.
Hard to see the Devils giving up a load for Lindholm imo. They already have Hischier and Jack Hughes, and then Mercer and McLeod and a bunch of other guys. Obviously they could be trading some for Lindholm, but their primary need remains a goaltender or they're not going anywhere.

Same thing as Nils Hoglander. He got rushed to the NHL by a desperate organization. Like Nils, his offensive ability was being stunted by being shoved into a bottom six grinder role. This after his development was already stunted by ####ty Russian pettiness who refused to develop him as they knew he was going to the NHL after his contract ended.
Much like Hoglander, their goal this year is to keep him in the AHL for the next year and a half. Let him develop his offensive skills in a North American game without the pressure of playing in the NHL bottom six. He started the season on a torrid pace and then took a high dirty hit that landed him in the hospital and on IR. After coming back, the ramp up has been a bit slower and he's just now starting to get back to where he started the year.
I would prefer NOT to move Podkolzin. I think he's the guy teams will ask for though.

Hahahaha. Do you know who you're talking to? Everyone thinks I grossly underrate Flames players and their status. It's refreshing to hear I'm overrating a Flame.
Now, taking my projection out of the mix, Lindholm is pretty much number one on everyone's trade board for the deadline. Universally. According to the talking heads, he's the crown jewel.

I have mixed feelings about Vancouver, but my dislike of them is not nearly as strong as it is for the Oilers. They are a pretty fun team to watch, and it's hard not to like players like Hughes, Pettersson and Boeser.

If we're just talking rentals, that's probably true. He's still not getting more than Bo Horvat got.

Don't expect to get him, but he is probably the best center available this TDL season. Not Lindholm.

Ahhh yes I remember that hit now too, super scary and glad to hear he’s on the mend and they’re taking their time with his progression too. A guy like Lindy and the trade he’ll produce seems a bit too high profile for him to be going to a rival destination so I can’t see Vancouver as a true trading partner with Calgary and the player in question. Still though it’s fun to speculate and I appreciate the lens on the potential players that could/would be involved in a Lindy to nucks trade. Can’t wait to see some movement lol, I just want multiple 1sts this draft and I’m not too worried about other pieces so long as we start stocking up draft capital in the process.

Only absolute I've stated is repeating what Rutheford said. Could that change? Yeah, I conceded as such early on. Right now? No non-pros.

You need to learn what a fly-by is. I posted before and after your post, and only after you self anointed yourself (as usual) the arbiter of what is worthy of discussion.
You seem bothered. Not a lion's fan like the rest of your kin?
I'm not lying about inside connections to the franchise so I can understand your frustration about my post quality. I'll make some #### up and then we can be more on even ground for your assessment. Sound good?

Dissentower has posted here for a long time and as far as I can tell has only recently intimated an inside connection. It would be a very strange thing to start lying about close to 20 years into your time here.

I wanted to hate all the hughes bros but it turns out I like them all. Boeser is cool too.
I think I dislike Vegas more than the Canucks. Wouldn't even put Vancouver in my top 5 most hated clubs today.

Your narcissism is the only thing more boundless than your idiocy. I don't care about you and only ever talk to you in reply to your posts. As you can see evidenced on this very page, the same is not true in reverse.

Still waiting for these posts I am way off on in the last month. As a matter of fact I keep posting things that insiders confirm after. So you need to throw crap at me for attention, what are you 11? Don't be so jealous just because you are irrelevant and nobody cares what you post on here bud. Like nobody.

From what we have seen on this thread about rumoured teams that are the most interested in Lindholm, it sounds like Vancouver, Boston, Colorado and Winnipeg have shown the most interest. There might be more that I’m forgetting. Those four teams make up the top 4 teams in the NHL right now so the first round picks that you get back from any of them is likely a late first round pick unless you get them to move the pick to the 2025 draft.
So if Conroy can create a bidding war amongst those teams, he hopefully can get one of them to up the value of the prospect in the trade. To me, Boston’s problem is that even their top prospect is a lower level prospect compared to the other teams. If you could get Colorado to offer up Ritchie or Gulyayev… then Vancouver would have to offer up one of Wallinder or Lekkerimaki in order to beat that offer. Similarly, Winnipeg would have to offer a prospect like Barlow or Lambert to beat that offer from Colorado.
I think it’s unlikely either of Vancouver or Winnipeg would pay that price. However, I think it’s a real possibility to get Colorado to include one of Ritchie or Gulyayev. They are in the middle of their cup window, MacKinnon is at the top of his game and they have the opportunity to pull a Tampa/Kucherov move this season if Landeskog comes back in the playoffs. Also, the flames could take back a contract like Johansen’s as a salary dump - which adds solid value because that saves them $4 million in cap space next season.
