They're fine "people".
Canucks media realized in the late 80s/early 90s that negativity sells. Unfortunately Vancouver sports fans seem to lap it up. Go down the list of big named Canucks sports media main stays, they all went negative. Even during times when the Canucks were good, the stories were negative doom and gloom ####.
All the positive stuff would come from national media, and then you'd have people like Tony Gallagher going "Yeah but..." and then writing articles about how it was all going to go wrong.
Look at this year, you had Thomas Drance, Matt Sekeres, Don Taylor among others, still saying the team should blow it up at the beginning of November. The team was 6-2-1 and the story wasn't about how good the start was. It was that it was an illusion and not blowing it up in the off season was a mistake. ####, I think Drancer carried that torch till Christmas.
I do get that I harp on about media personalities with frequency, but I think how toxic Vancouver sports media is just leaves me with my anti-media-personality pitch fork close at hand.
