Lindholm sold himself short by signing his current team-friendly contract which explains why he’s holding firm on the $8.5M-$9M demand. But I think he’s in for a reality check in the offseason—and who knows, maybe another fired agent. Who’s going to pay him $9M? He does a lot well but he’s also proven he doesn’t drive a line.

It doesn’t really matter though I guess
I mean there’s been speculation here that Spurs is just reborn Moon and others suggesting Pauline Pucklucks.
Nobody is ever truly banned
It does seem weird that whatever Perry did was bad enough to get his contract cancelled and the NHL was fine with that, but not so bad that he can't just go and get another contract right after. It's hard to see the logic.

Wild stuff. Really want to know what happened. The Bedard mum stuff would be pretty insane.

Also, if he blamed it on having a drinking problem, shouldn't he be required to go through the player assistance program before he can come back?
Wasn't that what kept Fleury out of the game for a long time? The league required him to go through the assistance program to be cleared to play, but he refused to do it?

If you're going to rehab/therapy and all that for a serious problem, should you be playing full time hockey even? Did he not go into the assistance program?
Oilers: Blackhawks were the problem! You're fine! Come play for us.
Looks like there was a glitch earlier today and the suspension was removed.

It disturbs me a little that he kept trying to log in despite knowing he was banned, in order to exploit this bug. That's like russian bot behavior or something. Constantly checking for weaknesses 24/7..

My guess is that if Perry fought it, he might have been successful, but he wanted to keep it under wraps.

I don’t know, it doesn’t seem confusing to me. He is an addict, did something within his circle of employment that was so bad that his contract was terminated and Perry himself admits to the world he has substance abuse problems. He was fired from his job for something off ice and specific. It doesn’t mean he needs to be blacklisted from the NHL.
Like, we all know addicts right? I can think of like 3 obvious ones that would destroy a relationship with your employer/team, but not be necessarily “bad enough” that they aren’t allowed to play in the NHL.
But the list of teams that would even want to get involved with that, for a player with maybe 5 months of career left, is probably just the Oilers. Because they are no good.
I'm fine loading up the Canucks for a run. I know it's not ideal but for me it's anyone but Edmonton. If that means having to see the Canucks make a run in the playoffs, whatever. It would suck, but not as much as if the Oilers make a run.
