God I hate the Oilers. Sux to loose on such a fluke goal

First period was brutal
Vladar was stellar. How the hell do we give up so many grade A chances. All fricken season
Tanev was a stud
Mang is just painful and frustrating to watch
Anderson was horrible

None of us need to like it, but they're not "embarassing themselves".

Sadly, that team is pulling off a great story right now.
Did you listen to them? David Amber started the discussion by calling the Stanley Cup favourites. That’s a ridiculous comment. Yes they embarrassed themselves.

At least it saves taking a delay of game penalty.
The issue is Huska didn't stall for time to even try to allow his team to review he play there is no way they did a fulsome review in that amount of time.

Sigh. Why can't we have nice things, too?

Vladar was outstanding...crap goal to give up for him...had no chance at all. Thought the team brought it pretty well in the second and then just held on for the third.

They fall for the Grease every time and instead of just playing their own game they play not to let the No Goods play theirs...and then proceed to let them do exactly that.

Raz can kiss my butt. I'm tired of him most of the time now.

Sad thing is their 2 guys weren't even great tonight and we still lost.
That's the type of opportunity our top guys need to feast on and take over the game.
Again, we didn't play bad but it's disheartening we don't have another gear to beat an Oilers team with McDrai having a quiet night.

Is there any evidence that anyone in the organization is pretending they can? All signs look to the organization trying to rationally maximize their UFA assets. They have already traded two and re-signed one. Suspect they will keep that same ratio with Lindholm, Tanev and Hanifin at the end of the day. Which is completely fine.

No, but the Oilers 7-3 record in the last 10 is one sided

At least Mang has that sweet Toyota money shucking with Wills.

Hate him as a Flame.

Conroy has us positioned perfectly to finish a few points out and a middling draft pick.

Sell already. Edwards is too cheap to replace you this quickly. To hell with his mandate of “competitive” to sell tickets.

All that said. They played hard. Just not quite good enough.

You are criticizing him for not taking more time to make the right decision
Which he did anyways.
But it’s clear you will go well out of your way to find fault in him

It's pretty obvious you need to forecheck effectively to beat the Oilers. They didn't even pretend to try that until the third.

Flames play a system designed by a guy who has only had success as a junior coach. Maybe that works if your the Oilers and all you have to do it put McDavid and Draisaitl out, but the Flames need a quality coach. It's the same old BS. Flames won't pay up, then only pay up for a buddy of the owner, then go right back to hiring nobodies.

What a nightmare year.

Are you sure you listened to them? because Amber said "maybe, they're re-emerging as one of the Stanley Cup favorites. Maybe. Might be getting ahead of myself here."

That's a far cry from labelling them THE stanley cup favorite.

Mangipane is back to getting knocked on the ice every shift. That was his trademark for a couple years,
but wasn't happening when he potted all those goals that one year or the next.

Man, Coronado looks like a fish out of water coming up to the NHL again. Just bullied off the puck a bunch and really poor decision making. Hopefully we start seeing some positive progression at this point if he stays up.

Stats are one thing. GAF is another. Hustle to outzip Hyman to the puck is yet another.

I'd be happy to trade him and let him be great elsewhere and get back good players, prospects or high picks in return. He was terrific for a while and shows flashes of that...but he is too inconsistent, holds the puck too long and loses too many foot races.

I still don't think he made the right decision. We have two conflicting angles and no access to the key camera from the blue line.

Guessing and getting the result right doesn't make him smart, It makes him lucky.

Not sure what Huska has done to be shielded from criticism. He certainly has no track record that suggest he can get the job done. The Flames are worse than last year, and I personally think the way he has them playing is total garbage and maybe worked in Junior hockey but doesn't work in professional hockey.

Just finished watching - wow this would have been an absolute beat down in the first period without Vladar. That guy had a masterful game. He kept the Flames in this, while they never truly deserved to be.

The Flames lack of skill was on full display tonight in my eyes. The lack of skill on this team is just frustrating, I wish they’d actually try and draft and develop top end talent. This crud just isn’t any good enough and it never will be.
