That's awesome! I am really looking forward to seeing Joker played by Heaht Ledger.
Just FYI for everyone, the new Batman movie will be called " The Dark Knight" and will open July 18, 2008.

he looks like a deranged psychopath, which is AWESOME. at first i didn't think anyone could top Nicholson as the Joker, but with how dark this reinvented series is i'm beginning to think differently

Harvey Dent? Possible sequel after this one??
Would have liked a tip of the hat towards the green hair but that looks deranged and thus cool!

I was so happy with the last flick because I felt that finally someone had made a Batman flick the way it was supposed to be, dark and overall a good detective story. While outdoing Nicholson's performance as the Joker might be hard to do, I think that Heath Ledger will create a fun reinvention of this character. I can't wait to see this.

Count me in on the totally awesome bandwagon, what with no more Mrs. Tom Cruise to muck up the rest of the awesome acting.
Not too certain about Eric Roberts though. He's never good in anything (and that includes Heroes)

Looks like a great cast for this movie.
Eric Roberts should be god in his role.

I don't what it is about Eric Roberts, but he just seems like he's 25 years removed from any 'reality' he's placed in on film. Maybe it's just because a face like that (and haircut) was built for 1982

Eric Roberts was pretty good in Runaway Train.

Yeah katie holmes just seemed out of place in what was one the best superhero movies ever made. Can't wait for this one.

Yeah, they were talking about this on The Hour last night, pretty cool visual. But the fact that Eckhart and Gyllenhaal have been added to the cast has me really excited. Eric Roberts kinda stands out as being out of his class with all those supurb actors, but I'm willing to give him a shot.

How do you know it's not green? Can't really see hair in that pic.

Put me down as not liking the look at all.
I always thought that the Joker was a merciless killer, but there was always kind of a gentlemen's edge and evil intelligence to him even in the old batman comic books.
Making him look like an over the edge crazy with bad makeup kind of ruins that character for me.

Just assuming he's bald, looks that way to me from that pic. But it could be there you're right HD.

But it's truer to the original comic and character of Batman... maybe it's just a really dark picture...
