I bet that will take 20 minutes to increase a tire 5 psi if it works at all. Invest in a real inflator

You use that to air up all your tires before a cold snap hits?

I already had Dewalt batteries so I bought their inflator: https://www.amazon.ca/DEWALT-DCC020I.../dp/B07H39S9JQ
On the expensive side but it's worked very well over the 5 years I've had it. Before this I had a 12v unit from C.T. that was a pain to use.

That's a nice unit has way more features than mine. I'm hostage to the Milwaukee battery consortium.

I bought the MotoMaster "heavy duty" twin cylinder inflator about a decade ago on a "50% off sale" at CT and it's been solid on my three vehicles + friends/family vehicles.
It can legitimately fill a 4runner tire from 0 to 30 PSI in 2-3 minutes.

Works great. No features other than a digital PSI reading but that's all I really need for topping up tire pressures and inflating kids toys

I like it a lot. The never version of this is supposedly far faster, but this version isn't bad either. I got it for a bit over $80 open box years ago before things got stupid price wise. I'd say this one fills about 15-20 seconds per PSI in a car tire and I love no cables plus setting the PSI and balancing it in all the tires. I don't think it's worth it for the newer version to slice those times in half.
I agree with you it's great for kids toys. Sometimes in the summer, I see people manually pumping up their dirigibles and I wonder how much faster those things would pump up if they had a battery powered air pump vs slowly stomping on one of those foot pumps. Makita also has battery shop fans, so I grabbed one to have battery powered fan in the summer. Works great with the sun shelter.

Once you have an electric inflator you can never go back. I'm in makita land, but any electric inflator is better than no inflator imo.
My least favourite job in the world was pumping up eight bike tires before a family ride with a manual pump. Now it's practically fun. Car tires, too. Plus my RV tires in the spring before it even leaves my yard. These things rule.

Agreed. I have a nice air compressor, still generally use an electric inflator for tires just for the ability to pre-set a pressure and just walk away. Don't care that it takes longer, it's easier

I love that I can run it off the +12V plug in the center console and the rear hatch with a nice long power supply cord. I run through a tire pressure check every few weeks or when the temperature outside has shifted dramatically, and it is the best for that.

It used to be a great reason to keep a little hiking butane or alcohol camping stove in your car. I still have one with a can of butane under the back seat of my truck. The problem now is a lot of cars have plastic oil pans and you run the risk of melting it if an open flame gets to close.
They also can double as an awesome heater in an emergency.
In other news.... I've appraised more electric cars in the last 3 days, than I think I have the last year. A lot of people are not impressed with the sub-30 degree EV car ownership experience.

For tire pumps... Viair is the best stuff you can buy. I've had mine for 10+ years, and it's inflated a lot of truck and trailer tires and shows no sign of letting up. Top quality stuff but worth the price. They specialize in on board air systems for trucks but sell really good stand alone compressors.
https://www.amazon.ca/VIAIR-85P-Port...f-fa04f1ca0da8
As far as boosters go, you can't beat the Noco stuff. Most car dealerships are replacing their old big booster packs with them now, so are the techs. I got 5 years out of my last GB50 and I was boosting at least 30+ cars a years with it. Almost all the other no name or brand name stuff will last a year on a car lot.

Just my 2 cents on the topic.

Yeah, as someone who's about as big a Tesla-hater as you'll find, I'm always surprised at how silly complaints about cold-weather performance of an electric car seem. The biggest complaint I've heard is the reduction in range due to battery power being spent on heating the cabin and the battery itself. Which is... whatever, it is what it is, but I think it's silly and unfair to single electric cars out for "reduced range" as a "cold-weather performance issue". All cars have "reduced range" in the winter. My car certainly goes through a hell of a lot more gasoline in the winter than it does in the summer...
