Since his point production has dropped what's he worth trade or signed?
I honestly haven't a clue. What are the boards thoughts? What is the max amount AAV you would pay to keep Lindholm? 7.5M? 8? 8.5? Or is there no scenario where you don't want him traded. Makes for good discussion.

Another stellar game. The Flames seem to be coming together. Markstrom is dialed in. They have played the most road games of anyone in the west.
If they get hot in the next 6 homes games before the allstar break I have no idea what Conroy is going to do.
The second half of this season could have a lot of storylines. Either way the team is fun to watch and there’s a lot more potential for young guys to step in and make an impact. Coronato, Pelletier maybe even Kylington?
TBH the only thing keeping playoffs in the realm of possibility.
Nashville and Seattle keep winning, and the Stink keep knocking off their line up of non-playoff teams.
Flames needed another playoff team to fall back to have a shot.
If LA continues its struggles, you're looking at 3 spots up for grabs between the Kraken, Preds, Kings, Stink, Yotes and Flames.
1 of those spots is a Pacific divisional spot though, so it's a race that favours pacific teams for "ways to get in"
Will be an interesting next week of games, since a lot of these hopefuls will finally be facing off against one another.
The good thing there is we'll finally see some losses for these streaking teams (i.e. SEA/EDM).
LA and Vegas have come back to earth. I think there will be a lot of horses in the home stretch. I think Minnesota is the only team that’s going to fall out.

Not sure we’ll be able to keep both of Hanifin (who it seems like they are resigning) and Lindholm. Unless there’s a cap dump or two. Like Tanev for picks.

Most teams wouldn't keep their prospect putting up over a PPG in the AHL as a rookie down on the farm, but the Flames have so many youngers playing well that they can afford to keep him down there to get seasoning and ice time.
The group playing this well since adjusting to Huska and still having some of its best young players not yet in the picture is very encouraging.
I don't know who replaces Lindholm short term, but it may very well be possible that this team can do a retool on the fly as opposed to a full blown rebuild with the pieces that are fitting into place for them. They just need to net the right return between now and the deadline to help inject a bit more high end talent for the future.
I'm hoping for a player like Mercer if it's possible. I think that's the kind of target you need - a young center that can become a top 6 regular here. Because at least for now you're not snatching up a franchise 1C anywhere, and may need to be patient and perhaps suck badly for a season for that opportunity to arise.

The Flames aren’t going to be that bad if they are only getting rid of Lindholm.

Honestly unless he's willing to take $7M or under (he won't) then I want him traded.

Lindholm definitely isn't doing much this season to justify getting a good payday this off season. It's also why trade offers for him may be pretty low.
He might only yield a mid round pick (like a 3rd) come deadline if he doesn't get on a heater around that time.

First time I’ve watched in a few weeks. The PP looks miles better now, and I really like the way they’re featuring Huby on the flank with that little option of draw the defender to him and dish to Lindholm down low, go cross-ice to Sharangovich, or make the shot. It gives the right guy the puck to draw defenders and make a creative play.
Anyway, the first time I’ve seen during his tenure that the PP looks to be playing to his strength, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they’re looking way more dangerous.

Playing Weegar versus Andersson helps with that. Weegar knows Huberdeau’s play a lot better.
