If someone told me we'd be 3 points behind LA by this point in the season..... Team is performing beyond my expectations. As for Markstrom, he's having a Vezina quality season.
I can tell you that the door for Lindholm extending is not closed if they can come to an agreement on dollars, it never has been and the team would rather sign him than trade him. It has to make sense money wise though. Maybe if the Flames continue playing hot toward the deadline he decides to come down in his ask. I have read before his wife really enjoys Calgary, I know Lindholm says he wants to stay but that could just be lip service. We will see how it plays out but I wouldn't say Lindholm is 100% gone, that's for sure.
Since his point production has dropped what's he worth trade or signed?
Lots of talk about Vegas' injuries but they were still a dangerous team with Stone and Marchessault seeing a lot of ice time. Great job by the Flames to mostly keep them outside and a well deserved 1st star for Markstrom.
The Kadri line was always dangerous although I think they were seeing easier matchups. The Backlund line did well despite tougher matchups, especially Mangiapane who had some jump.

Nice win to cap off a tricky stretch. Going to be tricky to limit Markstrom's workload to keep him fresh, given how well he has played.
Quite the stretch of late by Coleman. Funny how some confidence can propell a guy like this. It's like that freak season Shean Donovan had but starting eith a way higher floor.
