After Backlund's first pass down to Coleman, I was thinking "too bad he doesn't have Tkachuk's through the legs move to shoot that". Ten seconds later he takes a puck to the junk and scores. Different approaches, same result.

Not as random as one might think. Coleman mentioned before the season that he finally got a long summer to work on some nagging injuries that were bugging him from the Tampa playoff runs.

It looks garbagy but that’s a high IQ play by Zary. No play behind the net, put the puck into the mess and depend on guys like Kadri and Pospisil who you know will be crashing.
