[Trade] Flames trade Toffoli to NJ for RFA rights to Sharangovich and 80th OA

I was underwhelmed when the trade went down but I am fully on board now.

Sharangovich is fast, defensively responsible and has a wicked shot. Could see him being a key peice going forward for a long time.

Imagine how well Huberdeau will play if these two continue to play together for the next few years. Honestly, Sharan is my #1 priority come July 1st. He’s been nothing but great.

The depth of Spurs’s cognitive quagmire is truly remarkable. To summarize:

What happened in Jersey was fact. So I will call them facts when they are. If people can't handle that not all facts align with their beliefs that is their problem not mine.

His production in New Jersey is a fact.
His value at the time he was traded to Calgary is a fact.

His value now isn't a fact.

That's suggesting every GM in the league will just ignore his season in Calgary.

The guy is on pace for 33 goals which should change his value upward.

It could change his value, or teams could see him putting ok numbers on a non-play-off team and doubt that he matches that production in a lower role on their team.

While I love Sharangovich's play of late, the Flames have 1.5 years to decide what to do with him. Let's use that time to see what he is. If his current level of play carries over 1.5 years then he's earned his payday.

The Flames aren't in a place where they need to gamble on locking in a player like this to save a mil or two off his cap hit.

Conroy needs to go about his business very carefully.

Yes on the post that questioned whether or not I should be a scout or manager and that what I posted was pessimisitc. It was fact that professional scouts and managers had come to the same conclusion I had so there wasn't anything negative in pointing out what I did.

When responding to your post about whether he could be worth a 1st or not I clearly used language- I doubt- that showed I wasn't suggesting anything you claim below:
