Honestly, the outcome of that play should be a penalty on Rasmus if he made an infraction, which I don't think he did, and a disallowed goal. That's a BS goal.

So the goal against Philly gets called off for goalie interference but that one counts and we don't even challenge? Its so goddamn hard to be optimistic about anything with this team.

I don't think the Backlund line was out there as long as Hrudey keeps saying.

What a laughable sequence. Backlund cheats and gets punted from the draw, Coleman loses it and its Benny Hill for over a minute.
We are so bad.

dreadful shift of course so in some ways they deserve their fate
I also see why they wouldn't challenge that as there was contact by 4, but also no attempt at all to extricate himself, and markstrom had no chance
it's one where you have to hope the stripes see it as inteference in real time or you swallow it and move on

Andersson clearly takes that guy into the crease, guys.
Flames challenge that and they’d be shorthanded to start the period.
Not comparable at all to the Lindholm play. Lindy made contact by himself and pushed the goalies pad. Andersson puts that guy into Markstrom.

We could challenge it, but the call on the ice was a good goal, and because of the contact there's a good chance it would be inconclusive. It's likely to endup in a goal against and a PK to start the next period.

Because we know how that will go. Different rules for different teams. If it was a team like Vegas you challenge that and win every time, goalie interference for sure. Calgary Flames? No chance that is coming back.

I kind of hate not challenging that.
Do it just for Markstrom at least.
Can't stand low risk and coaches that coach scared and Huska 100% does that. Doesn't challenge since he's afraid to give them the PP when it's going to be a discretionary call.

Let's go back one whole game and remember that Lindholm's goal was called back because, while going for the puck, his stick also pushed the goalie's pad. Okay, now thinking about that, how is that a) allowed, and b) not challenged?

It’s a coin flip and Andersson kind of pushed the guy.

He gave him less time because hes played like junk. Why soften the blow?

He doesn't want to come right out and say that he's been terrible this season. Taking some heat off Dube, doesn't seem like a bad thing. Making him feel like crap to the media won't help anything at all.

I wasn't playing close enough attention to that draw particularly but do feel Backlund doesn't get the benefit of the doubt of most 950 game centers around the league when it comes to draws . I realize that's probably just the homer glasses on me

I expect Noodles to compare Campbell(a goalie) making $5M to Coleman(a 3rd liner) making $5M in this intermission or the next. He was prepping for it on Barn Burner.

Yep, I wouldn't challenge that. There was a shove, it's not coming back. No point in challenging it just for the heck of it and then going on the PK. That one was not coming back.

Andersson barely pushed him, and even had his stick wrapped around the guy. You can clearly see the dude launch himself on top of Markstrom and just stay there without even trying to move.

Based on the call they made against Zary on Saturday it should have been interference in Andersson, guess it's too bad he didn't just fall over like Seeler did.

Yeah, but there is zero consistency in goalie interference calls

Missed the first period. Saw the Zary goal on the NHL app. That guy is good
