What's a thousand about?
Perhaps you're unaware, but 25 posts per day will increase your 10 per day average. Not decrease it.
Why are you talking about Bitcoin all of a sudden? You're an odd one.

The post you quoted me was responding to the suggestion I posted 1100 times a day
Lately, I wasn't talking about the last 4 days...my average used to be near 20
Come on now, you have been on my ass since we argued about bitcoin...the event I spoke of in the other thread a couple weeks ago that you were shooting me down and loling about is now is happening.
I know you won't show your face in there so I had to call you out here haha. Up $4000 today so far. You called me an Oiler fan posting after wins but I told you 2+ weeks ago this was going to happen.
Also, since when is posting on CP a bad thing? we want less views of the site?

Nobody has suggested anyone needs to post less.
I made the exaggerated 1100 comment because you were suggesting I just ignore you.
My point was you were hard to ignore!

I joked that you had radar on my Zadorov posts...you seem to find them quickly lol
I would take Zadorov for 3M on the bottom pair any day...I just thought he got the usual Canadian market over rating
guy was a "who?" in Chicago
in Canada he is front page news...Zadorov sweepstakes. Gilbert filled his role okay, without either of them I admit there is certainly depth lacking but its not like the Flames never lost to Chicago with Zadorov, they did it 3 times last season...Toffoli too

Sample size again.
Zadorov is a very good 5.
Gilbert is a decent 6/7
The other guys are 7/8
You can't lose a 5 and replace him with a 7 and be a better team.
That's all I believe I've ever said.
Their record in a month doesn't prove or disprove Zadorov's impact in anyway. Too many variables.
But I certainly didn't want to overpay to keep him in dollars or term.
If you agree with all that we are done!

Thanks for doing all the work here to embarrass yourself so I don’t have to again.

It's not like they're forced into those interviews. They did it intentionally.
The messaging isn't consistent with what most Fans believe they should do. Infact it trends the opposite way.
It seems like a misguided attempt to calm fan worries.
The team lost two playoffs last year, signed the worst contract in the NHL, missed playoffs last year and are trending to miss playoffs again hovering around .500 at the bottom of the wildcard pact.
Fans don't want to hear about how you want to keep all these guys.

Teams are, in fact, kinda forced to provide interviews, including with management. It's a requirement by the league under the media contracts. And refusal would just provide negative press fodder. So they go on and utter platitudes.

I honesty don’t give a crap what Coaches, GMs and Presidents of Hockey Ops, etc. have to say. It is what they do that is important. And right now there is a big gap between what our front office say they want and what they’re doing. And there should be. If you’re looking to make moves, you aren’t going to get very far if you’re practically begging others when you have no leverage to get the most for what you’re trying to shift.
You wait until the conditions are right, which means when there are others that want what you don’t need. Those conditions don’t exist yet. So of course we’re going to give out messages that suit the situation as it is now.

It will honestly be a miracle if Conroy actually does deal Lindholm, Hanifin and Tanev as a seller between now and the deadline. Despite giving it an honest try after a rough start, this team is simply not competitive enough, and if anyone internally is even entertaining the thought of brining all or even a few of these players back on extensions, they should be punted.
Something has to change when all of these players are simply not getting it done, and you can easily read between the lines here and see that there is a thought process within upper management that maybe the team will get hot here and squeeze into the dance versus cutting the losses and trying to re-group by maximizing value of pending UFAs.
The worst part is that doing the right thing this year could very easily result in a fast turn-around provided you get a couple good young players, prospects and 2024 picks back in these UFA deals. You can't just dip your toe into the water though....if they aren't going to go all the way and move 2-3 of these guys really soon it's clearly going to be wash-rinse-repeat next year.
