It's crazy how it's actually the homegrown players getting pushed out by more homegrown players. Aside from Greer, a fantastic waivers pickup, and Meh Oesterle who plays the opposite position, Conroy added no more dead weight to push out. The competition for spots will hopefully make us more exciting to watch (win or lose)

I was a little surprised that Hunt got a 2 year including a 1 way deal in the 2nd year, but he has been good in the AHL so far.

Lyle, and Pysyk were decent depth signings for the Wranglers as well.

No big mistakes for Conroy so far. In fact, the largest contract he signed was $4.5M x 2 for Backlund. He also hasn't given anyone more than a 2-year term(ELCs aside), which makes sense with where we're at.

I don't mind Pelletier getting his feet wet on the 4th line - I think Greer is a good player to work with. I'd sit Ruzicka even though Dube is the whipping boy of the moment. Dube still gives the team more than Ruzicka and if he gets going, Pelletier-Dube-Greer is a great fourth line (and it leave the other 3 lines which are going OK intact).

I think one thing folks understand in these here parts is teams need to surround their up-and-coming players in the AHL with the right kind of veterans in key roles to help progress them along their developmental paths.

I kind of think they might work him back slowly and he will spend more time with the Wranglers than people here might anticipate.

Give him some time in the AHL to get back to game speed and try to get his offensive confidence up again (he didn't score much at the NHL level last year).

Then bring him up post deadline when some spots probably open up

Sounds like there’s going to be a lot of roster juggling soon. Wonder what the big club looks like once the dust has settled.

People are impatient. See Wolf and Coronato.

Someone has to go after Marian Studenic when the Coachella Valley Firebirds comes to town.

I am incredibly excited to watch this team once the dead weight and UFA's are gone. I'll complain less about losses when it feels like we're actually trending correctly

I think thats the important thing.

Its a wildly uncertain future, we need to 'right the ship' as it were to see where we're going and that we're trending in an upward trajectory...eventually.
