Not such a good showing from the Flames after the first period. Along with atrocious officiating today. Blegh.

Shame to waste a solid performance from Marky.

Flames were sloppy, but those refs should be sent to the minors after that display.

Floppin Flyers.

Annoying game, pretty much they got doused. No lack of effort, though was nice to see.

Flyers and Torts tough to beat at home. Bigger and stronger than the Flames.

Refs were awful.

Marky was great.

Fun game with both teams showing intensity. Tough luck to not get at least a point.

Difficult to blame the refs when the winning goal was a shorty but they had a shocker.

A lot of players on the trading block probably came across as competitive and gritty tonight. With a lot of NHL scouts present, it might be a good look for teams looking for that edge in the playoffs.

I thought the refs were a little too active this afternoon. It's good that the team had some fight in them, but they shouldn't have let it affect their play so negatively.

That was a Brad Allen-esque performance by the officials today. Sheesh.

Didn't deserve to win that and didn't indeed. Refs decided who was going to win and made sure they did just in case the Flames weren't as bad as they proved to be.

The big difference this year from other years for me is that the team almost always seems to put forward legit effort and hard work. Feels like 80-90% of the time this year, you can't fault their effort vs. in other seasons, it felt more like 60-70% of the time.

Markstrom was great.

Weegar with a career high in goals.

Huberdeau with a highlight reel goal.

The refs with way too much influence on the game. I didn't like the boarding calls, without the instigator negating them. I didn't like the stuff after the whistle, and I didn't like the disallowed goal.

All in all a fun game, both teams were competing hard.

What in the actual eff was that no goal penalty call? 2 minutes and -1 goal for massaging the guys shoulders? That was the biggest crock of sh&! Ever

That was some questionable refereeing to say the least.

It is also games like this that make me really look forward to a bigger and tougher team down the line - lots of prospects have a lot of size on them. I really miss a player like Bennett too - was 2 years younger and still kicked the crap out of Laughton in junior. With Iginla as part of management, I have more confidence that this team will end up being a well-rounded team. Flames don't really have an answer for shenanigans, especially with an inept PP.

Markstrom was strong in net at least.

Morning and early afternoon games always favour the eastern teams. I usually just pencil these ones in as losses.

Regulation loss, Huberdeau continues to show signs of re-finding his game.

Can’t make me feel bad about this result.

Is Huska going to flip one of these times? Stand up for his players and take a fine.

The call on Hanifin as a game management call started it after the Flames got the first two PPs. He touched the guy and fell like a Peewee player.

The extra 2 on Lindholm for roughing.

Huberdeau gets hammered down by Konecy after a whistle and nothing.

The absolute joke of a call on Weeger for hooking for touching Atkinson with a stick on the 2 on 1, which gave the Flyers the second goal.

And another diver when a guy with 30lbs on Zary falls like he got harpooned out of a plane, and the puck that was already in the air to tie the game, gets disallowed.

The refs dictated the momentum and outcome of the game, very directly with the tying goal and calling off the tying Flames goal. Huska can't give some shrug of the shoulders and play Mr Nice Guy. The Flames put it out there, and end of the game show how pissed they are (and the Flyers get away with more cheap ####) and if they see their coach had their back, it would do a lot.

Fine with the way the Flames played, Markstrom excellent and the Flames played fine 4 line game until the refs took over, messing up momentum and Flames lines the last minutes of the first and all of the second.
Hopefully come out with some fire tomorrow.
