Grab the paperwork from the passport office and mail it in, we did that for my wife and son recently. It’s a bit more leg work but it beats out hours in line.
It took a month or so to get their passports, maybe 6 weeks tops

Or just download the application, fill it in, print it out, and mail it. No need to go to a passport office.

Deck and Garage only! So...the garage is complete. I can testify to that!
I will say, he makes a good burger and that I was astonished that Gluten-free burger buns were actually pretty good.

Oh my sweet...holy...lord. The number of times...
The thing is...there is a hierarchy of Crappy Jobs. The worst of the worst is Customer Service Rep (CSR).
Thats a fancy word for 'Trolley Boy.'
He's the guy that cleans the aisles, grabs the shopping carts from the parking lot...he does a lot of sweeping.
Then theres cashiers, but they actually have to know a thing or two about what they're doing, they are, in a sense, 'trained.'
And then theres the various departments where you have to know a thing or two about what you're selling and that depends, if its Sporting Goods, its good to know things about hockey sticks and skates and bikes and stuff, seasonal? Things about grass seed or shovels or whatever.
I worked in Auto Parts. You need to know a thing or two about cars.
So when some absolute jackass is changing his oil in the parking lot, who do you figure they send? Oh yeah...someone from Parts.
God that sucked so much. People would be doing all kinds of crap in the parking lot.
Look, I DGAF if you need to change a battery. I get it and thats pretty harmless.
But you cant just haul off the Oil filter in the parking lot and let the pan drain all over the goddamned place.
Gotta change your radiator fluid? Goddammit buddy...pay Mr. Lube to do it! Its right across the street!! They can properly dispose of the old fluid! You're literally pouring it down a storm-drain in the parking lot!
Oh the stories...Crappy Tire was a Crappy Job. And thats all even before I stumbled onto the dead guy in the parking lot.

Ahh...oooh. Its grim.
So...Crappy Tire didnt give us a lot of time for lunch. It was basically a sweatshop but...in a strange way an unintentional one?
At one point the owner actually hired a Chef and installed a kitchen upstairs.
Now...this was great...to a point. The downside is...there was no way to pay. So your meals were deducted from your paycheques.
This tripped up a great many people. Because when 'you dont have to pay right now' you can see that many part-timers racked up some serious lunch bills.
Especially because the cook was actually really good!
Also they really weird things where instead of writing a Menu on the white-board they'd write Canadian Tire's Stock Price. It was kinda strange.
Anyhow the gist of the story is that it was really difficult to go away from work, get lunch, get back and eat it, on your allotted lunch break and eventually even the Chef got the Heave-ho because I guess he cost too much.
So the answer? They'd allow food trucks in the parking lot.
Almost all of them would come and go, but the Fry-Guy food truck was a fixture.
Anyways I went up to the truck for Lunch and found the Fry-Guy (sorry this was a lot of years ago I forget his name, I used to know it) anyways, I find him on the floor of his truck.
He'd shot himself in the head.
So 3 thoughts ran through me:
1. I swear I saw people get here before me and walk away...are they just ignoring this?
2. I guess I have no lunch today.
3. I suppose I should call someone.
I jest, I jest! I immediately called that fired chef guy to see if he was looking for a new gig...the Police.
RIP Fry-Guy...RIP.
Man...I've had some awful jobs in my life. And now I do Taxes.

That’s a pretty good back story for murdering a homeless person and hiding him in a food truck on your lunch break.

Ohhh man....if Murder was legal while I worked at either Greyhound or Canadian Tire?
I'm not saying that there would have been a lot of murder...but I won't say that there would have been 'none' either...
No one checks the Buses or the Oil bin.

Apparently being a Fry-Guy in the Canadian Tire Parking lot comes with some Ghosts.
Who knew?

And you know whats even wilder?
Not 1 person thought. "Locke just discovered a dead body in the parking lot. Maybe we should give him the afternoon off. He could reflect...maybe get some lunch?"
Nope.
"Back to work!"
Dead Body. No lunch. Get to work.
Ah Canadian Tire...what a ride.
And people wonder why I'm an unapologetic cynic.

Why are you so....nice??
I worked for Greyhound and ironically my first dead body encounter happened in the Canadian Tire parking lot.
I think in terms of 'stumbling across dead bodies' I'm probably in the 1%...of people not in some sort of medical field.
Like Auto Parts, loading buses, doing taxes, dead bodies arent usually part of the trade.
I have literally stumbled upon a dead body...in public, and uttered..."Motherf...not AGAIN!!"
To which people around me are...well...rather surprised.
I'm like one of those grizzled old Veterans you see on procedural Cop shows.
"Here we go again...gotta make a call."
Put it this way...shutting down Greyhound was probably for the best.

That was the plan, but the boy has been invited to play in a tournament in the US at the beginning of March. That’s a tight timeline

The time they give at harry hays for wait is real accurate. If you wanted to go in person, just wait till the wait isn’t long then head over if you work downtown. Got my passport in like 7 business days.
Otherwise mail it.

No. Go to the south passport office if it's convenient for you. Don't go first thing in the morning. In and out in less than an hour. Passport received in about a week.
Otherwise if you have the time, mail it in as others have said.

I feel like I won the Crappy Tire job lottery, sporting goods. Don’t think I received any sort of training for any of the stock.
“Here’s how the shoe sizer works. Guns and ammo key is on the hook behind the door. Have fun!”
Quite night? Let’s fire some cross bow bolts into the wall, then ride stock buckets down the warehouse conveyor. Good times.
