Prob not. Just reaction to pot being stirred.

Although vladdy starting is a surprise. Might be playing again on weekend. Unless he’s being showcased tonight and we get a wolf call up on weekend.

Maybe Tre upped his offer to a 5th and Conny is thinking about it.

A-ha. Clever ploy. Pick the least likely all star candidate to drive up trade value. Teams pounce at chance to acquire an all star and Flames make out like a bandit.

Then Coleman is named as replacement. It all makes sense now.

I want Lindholm gone so Zary takes his spot and Coronato takes Zarys previous wing spot.

I want Lindholm gone so then others will be more open to a trade. Guys like Coleman and Markstrom may want out as soon as he goes.

Don’t think that’s going to happen, all signs point to markstrom being okay to share his net more with Dustin/Dan. He’s lights out when rested.

Coleman is all in with the flames. I believe flames maintain that outside of an incredible overpayment they won’t move him.

Yeah, Lindholm is really holding the team together this year. Makes a lot of sense why guys who actually love it here would want out as soon as he’s gone.

I think Colemans a lifer here. He and his family seem to genuinely love it there.

Markstrom maybe, since they're best bro beans and all.

That would be great but it sounds like we have a lot of vets- Coleman, Kadri, Markstrom- who are fine staying here, collecting a paycheck and having the spring off.

Selling high on Coleman would be a great move in my opinion but I understand why they won’t do it and that also makes sense. You need guys who want to be here and his work ethic and championship experience is valuable for the young guys.

I think with a guy like Coleman, you offer to sell him if he wants to move to a team in a window, but don't put pressure on him. When a free agent chooses your club and is playing well, you need to respect that.

Sometimes the value of a player that wants to be here, is a great role model for rookies and who plays the right way is way more valuable than a fair return for the guy.

These are the types of players that help attract free agents to your city, glue the team together and help young kids coming in to be better players.

Coleman is close to untouchable in my mind.

There’s always a price to sell a guy at but he has his cup and the Flames need some cap to fill a roster. Finding guys who have done it, are happy to mentor the next wave of players, play hard, and want to be in Calgary are hard to find.

Markstrom would likely play better with more rest, and Vladar likely better if he isn't coming in cold all the time.

Rangers, Colorado, Dallas and Winnipeg are the four teams I’m hearing… Believe it’s Rangers and Colorado keeping things “Hot”.

If someone on Coleman's trade list offers you a real nice return you take it and run. Sure, you don't trade him just to trade him but he's going to 36 years old when his contract expires in 4 years and if you can shed that cap while getting a sweet return for the future you should do it. The Flames will be lugging the Huberdeau contract around for 7 more years and will need all the cap space they can get if they're going to keep their next core in tact.

Getting info that full retention is on the table for Lindholm and is approved by the owner if it increases the return**.

I believe, if I am reading it correctly on Capfriendly, Coleman has a full NTC for this season. Starting in 2024-2025, it becomes a modified NTC where he gets to submit a list of 10 teams he can be traded to.

Atta boy Murray. Maybe Conroy and Iggy do have his ear after all.
