This is a 13.9 LTI conditioning loan, not a 13.8 conditioning loan.
Valid for six days or three games played by team, whichever is longer, with potential to extend by two more games by request.
CBA expert > my googling skills. So essentially till the game on the 11th, but can be extended for that game on the 12th. I think after that game on the 12th the Wrangles don't play on till the 18th in California somewhere.
Freeway, do they get cap relief when he goes down on the conditioning stint? If so, would they accrue cap space till the 18th because the AHL schedule is wacky?

If Kylington can play, maybe we won’t be laughably bad after the trades. Gilbert looks like an actual bottom pairing D to me.
If that Tanev trade happens with the Rangers we probably won’t be that bad. The Hanifin decision will be a big one though. If we lose Tanev and Hanifin we will be missing a number 3 and most likely 4 dman. We’ll have a 1,2 pairing and a lot of 5/6/7s.
I still have a feeling they are going to try and bring Hanifin back.
If Kylington does manage to get back into the lineup he’s going to be super rusty.
Should be an interesting couple of months until the trade deadline. I would not want to be Conroy.
I'm just going to leave that here, in case some people want to catch up on Kylington's highlights:
Hot take: Kylington is going to rejuvenate Huberdaeu's offense.
Honestly I sometimes think his absence for the last 18 months doesn't get talked enough when talking about the overall change of the roster post the 21-22 season.
The plan for the roster coming into the 22-23 season was likely:
Hanifin-Andersson
Kylington-Tanev
Zadorov-Weegar
It's really unfortunate that we never got to see that defensive core hit the ice because it should have been the best in the league. But without Kylington it was missing that dynamic skater, and puck mover and it created a big hole.

Nope. He remains on LTIR and continues to count against the Flames' cap number.

Where would it rank minus Tanev, Hanifin, Zadorov and maybe Kylington?
Not only passer. His agility and acceleration and stickhandling at speed are game changers also.
These were all things he brought to the table, but after 1.5 years away from the game, it's tough to say whether he'll continue to excel in these areas. I hope he does, but it's pretty hard to just assume he'll step right back into form.
/Debby downer.
Incredibly happy for him to battle back, and I'm excited to see him out on the ice!

Not really sure why it matters since that wasn't the point but any d-core that has Gilbert, Desimone, and Oesterle all playing at the same time likely is bottom 3 in the NHL.
And I only say bottom 3 because I don't even know who San Jose and Chicago are dressing most games.

Valid concerns, but after watching some of the footage being dripfed through the Wranglers social media accounts, he looks like he hasn't changed as far as his edges / stickhandling. Hard to say from the first practice in 2 years but signs are promising.
Really good news. Just wish he wasn't UFA. With 1.5 years off there's not really enough time for him to get back to NHL game speed before a decision has to be made. Eichel after that fusion surgery for example did not look great until last season.

The only difference could be that Kylington was able to keep his workouts going, so perhaps half a year to get up to game speed is reasonable.
