I simply cannot imagine a sad, empty life where joy comes out of spending endless...yes, endless...time on a forum arguing with anyone who will engage about whatever fancy happens to grip your mind in its tight little fist.
With almost every other post being from you, this is becoming unreadable in almost all threads hockey-related. Why don't you move over to the tech threads and the food ones and tell everyone how to fix their machines or where they are eating is wrong?
Ugh. Intolerable.

I can't believe Huberdeau hasn't had a point since last year! What a bum!

Watching the NYE game now and just finishing up the 1st period. Huberdeau looked real good out there. Counted 2 extremely nice passes that I don't think anyone else on the team can make intentionally like he does. His tip was a good chance as well. He was awesome in the 1st.

I'm hopeful that putting Huberdeau with Sharangovich will help him regain his confidence, as well as, help rebuild some of Lindholm's trade value. If Huberdeau and Sharangovich develop some chemistry, which of the Flames' existing centres would make a good replacement for Lindholm in the event he is traded and a centre prospect is not returned through any of the trades? An opportunity for Ruzicka or Dube to turn their paths around? Someone from the AHL like Jones or Schwindt? Zary hasn't played much centre as a pro, has he?

I'd consider sliding Sharangovich over to C and seeing who fits on the other wing.

I believe Sharangovich can play centre. Coronato could be a good fit if he gets another shot with the big club.

They just need some guys that get open and consistently convert his passes
Lindholm was supposed to be that guy but he takes an early jump on his retirement contract.
Sharangovich and Coronato can both shoot so hopefully …..

Not to say that Sharangovich can't play center or improve, but he has a 36% win-rate on 465 FOs in his career so far.
Even full-time middle-six Cs like Kadri, Bennett, and Jarnkrok that are known for perpetually being bad at FOs are at least 10 percentage points better in the dot.
It looks like Coleman regularly played C in NJ at the start of his career with better success (42% lifetime win-rate on 1275 FOs). It might be worth giving him a try at C with Huberdeau and keep Sharangovich at RW if Huska is willing to break-up the Backlund line.

He's already played some centre in both New Jersey and Calgary. I suspect his faceoff percentage would improve substantially if he was expected to take faceoffs regularly.

OT but until the last 3 years Kadri’s FO numbers were fine. But he gets thrown out a lot now. I wonder if he was getting away with something before that is being caught now.
I do think FO is something most players can improve on if they work at it. There’s no real physical innate skill aside from maybe quickness.

Starting to feel like a move may be imminent as mid January does typically see one or two of the larger pre-deadline deals go down. If this makes room for Pelletier and Coronato, the latter of which is really pouring it on in the AHL, it would go a long way to establishing the new core that can hopefully carry this team into next season.

If I had three key assets to move I'd want to space them to avoid the same strategy on all three (things get better at the deadline).
1. Late January
2. Mid to Late February
3. Deadline week

Makes sense, but you also don't want to wait too long and make it harder to bottom out fully once you do make moves. It would be tragic if the Flames held on too long and ended up in the 7-10 draft range instead of 3-6, which could provide a legitimate elite talent in a hurry.
If I'm Conroy, I'd target a player focused deal similar to the Toffoli trade for someone like Tanev now (limiting his injury risk). Shifting to focus more on futures for Hanifin and Lindholm in mid to late February, allowing the depleted lineup to fully bottom out for the remaining 25-30 games.
If the Flames ended the year with a top 5 draft pick of their own, a Sharangovich level young player and pick via Tanev trade, and another 2 firsts and mix of later picks or prospect via Lindholm and Hanifin, it would be pretty fair to think this team can turn around in a hurry with players like Zary, Coronato, Honzek and Wolf already in the conversation.

I’d add Markstrom into the mix. There are a number of contenders looking for goaltending. He’s playing great and we need space for Wolf.
I think he’d bring the biggest return.

The Flames are not bottoming out into a top 5 pick regardless of when they trade the UFA's.
