Default Flames 3 Wild 1

Flames 3 Wild 1

- Huberdeau and Mangiapane snap goalless streaks
- Markstrom dominant in preserving the win
- Pospisil hurt or benched?
- Flames back to .500

The Andersson stack pad save on what looked to be a dangerous scoring chance was super cool.

Just a damn good hockey player.

His contract turned out better than anyone predicted.

Oilers with what...a 14-3 run since looking like they were toast early on?

So disappointing that we are likely going to have fade yet another potential McDavid fueled post season run. I was really hoping they'd miss this year.

They still very well could. They've been really fortunate especially with how the league has made their schedule so far.

We'll see, but I thought I read somewhere they have one of the easiest schedules remaining.

Honestly feels like putting the C on his chest has elevated him to a step above. Spent the last few years as a super reliable player to raises the games of others, and this season it's that + more.

Not sure if the stats bear that out, but looks that way to me.

We should all know from experience that ease of remaining schedule doesn't always work out the way you think it will.

nm - realize now you were discussing Edmonton's remaining schedule. But I hear "ease of schedule" and think back to the bubble, and those games against Ottawa. Thats how PTSD works I suppose.
