Just can’t play Oesterle. The bad pinch wasn’t bad enough but to not take a single stride after the blue line to prevent the cross ice pass is inexcusable.

Oesterle is presumably in the lineup to add skill and offense, but he just doesn't do that much in the o-zone and is a major liability defensively. He has 2 points in 11 games, and for comparison, DeSimone has 5 points in 15 games.

I just don't get the point in having him in there unless it's a last minute injury replacement.

DeSimone and Gilbert have both been better than Oesterle and honeslty don't think Oesterle was any better than the limited viewing we had of Solovyov.

Honestly not sure why he's in the lineup as much as he is.
