I think people are being a little dramatic here.

Is Huberdeau for Seth Jones realistic one for one?
He’s got 7.5 years left, the cost would be some many first round picks it simply makes no sense.

No, Seth Jones is playing big minutes for Chicago. He’s overpaid, but likely would be fine playing 3-4 dman minutes. Chicago us nit displeased with his play.

I'm just happy he seems to be playing better. Hope he keeps building on this.

That was a nice pass to Gilbert. The guy clearly still has the passing ability. He just needs to use it smarter and not always try to force passes

I think winning a cup with Huberdeau and the 10.5 million in cap room he takes is probably easier to accomplish than trying to win without Huberdeau, having 10.5 million in extra cap space, while also giving up the assets necessary to unload Huberdeau.

It wouldn't make sense right now to try and unload Huberdeau - too many years left, and realistically, the Flames aren't competing for the cup any time soon. When the Flames are closer to competing, then you revisit it - either he is still very unproductive relative to his salary, but has fewer years left (and thus cheaper to unload), or he has found his game and you actually want to keep him.

After tonight's performance, one could say that finding his game has some potential. Hopefully he can add another really good game - that's 2 in a row by my count. Add another, that's 3.. and you just hope that he just manages to build some confidence for himself, as I really do believe that a lack of confidence is what has been the biggest issue with him here. He just lost his 'mojo'. Only way to get it back is to keep adding a good game on top of another, and see what ends up happening.

I realize sports is entertainment and we all arm chair GM on our Xboxes, but holy moly some of you need to remember that dude is still an actual person. You don't get to where he's at then suddenly forget how to play. These guys are some of the most driven and competitive people on Earth in ANY field, and I am sure nobody is feeling worse about this than Huberdeau. People keep talking about money this and points that like they own the team. Nobody forces you to watch or buy tickets. If entertainment makes you cruel I dread to think what legit adversity does.

People check out in every industry no matter what they are getting paid . Age is also undefeated and some people hit walls earlier .

I don’t know the why he has become he biggest drop off in NHL history , but I sure have zero sympathy for him

I thought Huberdeau had a really strong game tonight. Could have easily been a multi point night for him and he was in the thick of the battle for most of the game.

The worst contract in the entire league and people aren't going to discuss it? Ok.

Huberdeau had a strong game, I'll give him that.

The real hero is still Coleman.

I think we already passed that. He is not a 10.5M player

We are stuck with so enjoy it. And honestly once you accept that, he is not the worst player to watch. He makes at least a few good plays every game. They just couldn’t cash in.

People will still talk about his almost points and his ability to kind of try hard. After all that is what the NHL is really all about.
