I never understood Canadianna. It’s usually just terrible music and stories and people pretend it means something because the artists were born here.

I’m a fan of a lot of Canadian artists across a whole bunch of genres. It’s not a difference in talent most often, it’s a difference in the hype machine.

I always thought it was cool to see music/art from across the country interspersed with Rick Mercer interviewing Canadians of note from the prior year (Mattea Roach last year for example). I also probably put too much stock into NYE haha.
