I agreed with Spurs and that’s about the first time ever. His point was correct though, the players are trash, this team isn’t even close. There’s about 5 players in the Flames organization right now that I wouldn’t trade. 3 of them are currently in the NHL, the other 2 in the A.

If you look at these players and think that is what makes up a competitive team you are insane.
I don’t think Huska is a good coach, you could be right that his system sucks but that doesn’t change the fact these players aren’t good enough and there is no system that would have success with this group of subpar players.

I can agree on some players needing to move and the team is not talented enough to compete for a Cup but the coaching is terrible. Oh look, they made a slot pass play finally and score. Maybe try that more often...

So was that goal caused by quality coaching or a player making a good decision and great execution? Asking for a friend.

That was a rare from behind the net play to the slot. That does not change the fact at all that 98% of the Flames shots come from the point or the perimeter. There will be plays outside the system, it happens. Let's see how many slot plays we see in the 3rd compared to perimeter/point shots. Go ahead, keep count and let me know.

It's good to see 88 back with 11 and 20. He has looked much better and that line is solid as ever.
Huberdeau has been pretty good tonight too. Sharangovich has been around it, I hope he can get back on the scoresheet.
