Im saying a psychologist/psychiatrist could diagnose him with whatever they wanted, maybe he’s a little depressy spaghetti and needs 7.5 years of therapy a la Kylington.

If you really believe this, the ABCD was fine. You ruined all your credibility with the insensitive last paragraph.

I never asked you to explain Eichels LTIR status, I asked for proof in how you know the flames would lose the PA grievance, see below for why there is precedent for grievances being dropped.

Mike Richards is a prime example of a player with mental health issues where the team (Dean Lombardi) travelled to his summer home to talk to him about getting help as well as seeing concussion specialists. Important to note that the NHL treats both addiction and mental health issues through the players assistance program.
When Richards didn’t deal with his mental health issues and was caught with Oxys at the border his contract was terminated and LA got off with a significantly reduced cap hit over many years.
I’m not sure what I’ve said that is offensive Jiri so I can’t really address your comment.

Mental health issues like depression take a long time to work through and Kylington is an example of it? Or is it in how it was phrased? Either way the phrasing isn’t important at least to me.

I’m in here criticizing Huberdeau all the time but there’s no need to make up stuff about him. There’s no evidence that he has any mental health problems. And for the people that do, “depressy spaghetti” is doing nothing to help them.

No offense, but you're being a complete idiot, right now. The fact that you are taking an actual mental health issue that took someone away from the game they love and saying "we could use that angle to get Huberdeau out of here for his performance" is ignorant, disgusting and just plain stupid.
No offense, but what you're after doesn't make sense, deserves no response and you should just shut up.

This turned dark quickly.
Depression isn't a joke and calling it Depressey spaghetti isn't funny.
Guy has done nothing wrong. He is struggling on the ice.

Cool man, I’ve explained it including links and examples of players who have been shut down for mental health issues. If it doesn’t make sense to you I don’t think I can explain it much better.
Step 1 - Force him to see (another) psychologist as he is not currently fit for duty.
Step 2 - Have him work through his issues in therapy and the longer it takes the better (LTIR time).
Step 2a- If he refuses, terminate his contract using whatever escape clause needed in his contract and negotiate a minimal cap hit settlement like the kings did with Richards.
Step 3(?) - Maybe he returns after therapy as a healthier person and better player and his cap hit is ditched for hopefully a very long time.
It’s pretty disrespectful to tell someone to shut up as well, you’ve done nothing but acted offended and posted drive bys towards me so cut that junk out please.

No, you're acting like we're comparing 'like' depression/mental health cases between players, while Huberdeau doesn't have one that we know about. You are clearly suggesting "pushing" Huberdeau into a mental health leave because of his production. I mean do you think we're ****ing stupid? Don't be an idiot, because right now you are 100% being one.
You've been given more response than you deserve for your ridiculous suggestion, to be honest.

The Flames would lose the grievance because there’s zero evidence of mental illness.
The Players Assistance Program is voluntary only. Not relevant.
And you are streeeeettttching with Mike Richards. He wasn’t terminated for “mental health issues” at all. The Kings claimed a material breach of his contract because of his alleged breaches of customs/border laws.

No that’s absolutely what I’m suggesting, making up a mental health issue isn’t any different than making up an allergy to equipment like what happened with Hossa. If you’re not cheating you’re not trying. The groundwork for the mental health leave is sitting right there ripe for the picking

Firstly, Hossa's equipment issue wasn't made up, it was well documented over a number of years. Plus, he was still a very good player when he retired, on a $5M cap hit, his retirement did nothing to help Chicago.
And the "mental health issue" is not here ripe for the picking. It's a far fetched dumb idea, and you even admit its cheating.

What is being suggested here that we find a crooked psychologist to lie about a depression diagnosis and then force Hubredeau to accept it even though he doesn't want to or that depression can be diagnosed on anyone and would be by a legit psychologist so just force Hubredeau to go to a psychologist and they will diagnose him as depressed?
Either way both are pretty disgusting statements, the whole path of forcing someone out of their legit contract by making light of mental health issues is pretty sad.

He didn't have a problem playing with an itch for $7.9m but it was agonizing for $1m and not sure how $5.275m x4 years off the cap didn't help Chicago.

What is the incentive for the doctor and insurance company to go along with it if it is fake?
