They still pissed around too much especially when it was late. When they had Seattle hemmed in they should have been firing everything but they just played with the puck until eventually they gave it up on a weak play.

And then when they did shoot nobody was there for a screen or to try and get a rebound.

No fault with the effort or pressure especially in the third. Flames have won a fair share of games playing that way. Makrstrom meh in the second goal but if Lindholm gets the puck higher in the second period on his good chance we win 2-1.

It's that tight in the league. Flames were fairly relentless in the offensive zone and needed one of those many rebounds to land properly on a stick in tight and didn't.

Another 3 break now isn't ideal though.

You could have prime Scotty Bowman coaching this team and they’d still be a bubble team. They lack elite talent plain and simple.

Do I think it's gonna happen? Probably not. I'm certainly not putting money on them.

Do I think it's some impossible task that this team is incapable of? Nope. Not at all.

While they're still in the fight, I'm still gonna hope for them to keep pace.

Tonight's loss was a tough one, combined with Arizona's comeback win and it's a bad night for the Flames.

Only in the 3rd period mostly. 1st period no good. 2nd period piss poor. And it's even more frustrating because the Kraken were piss poor for the entire game.

If they had this year's goaltending last season we make the playoffs and still have Sutter as coach. Instead we hired Huska and the team isn't good at a single aspect of the game. You can have good team play even if you don't have tons of high end talent.

The team is sloppy, doesn't generate enough scoring chances and makes terrible defensive mistakes. Our "zone defense" is so passive that good team go full Harlem Globetrotters on us and consistently generate good scoring chances.

I though Huberdeau has looked really good the last two games whe he is on with Zary. Why Huska refuses to try that is insane. He keeps rolling out the same lines that are ineffective.

Flames went from a good coach who was becoming increasingly stubborn and apparently an ####### to a guy with no history of coaching success who has the team looking like a mess.

Team needs to learn how to generate effective screens and traffic and hound the net for pucks.

Garbage goals require effort and grit but this is a team that needs those.

Seattle barely had any chances... especially after the first

It's not the coach, any finish and it's a lopsided win

Someone will pay a king's ransom for Markstrom. Let the bidding war begin!

Watching injuries severely handcuff returns. Harmonic and Brodie come to mind.

Coronato and Pelletier full time and 3 first round picks would be really nice. Then I REALLY wouldn't care so much about wins and losses. It would all be about the future and enjoying the development process.

Sitting on these UFAs that have a foot out the door isn't fun.

That is what Sutter is doing, he's just waiting for the right deals. No need to rush this.
