Prior to 9/11, I’d travel back from Calgary with a two four on my carry on. I remember on one occasion, carrying that, a couple of bottles of Crown Royal and a couple of giant bags of Old Dutch ketchup chips and the security guy just exclaiming, “looks like we’ve found the party plane!”, and on I went.
Nowadays I’m constantly second guessing my family on any item in their carry-on to avoid any risk of delay and internal examinations.
I kinda wish there were special flights with security options for travellers that would rather roll the dice and take the risk of getting blown out of the sky than go through this constant hell that is airline travel today.

Who designed the parking at the Beaconhill shopping area? What an unmitigated disaster that is. I don’t think I’m ever going there again. Good grief, trying to get into or out of it takes 15 minutes.

Beacon Hill, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. It's only 10 minutes away from me in the NW, but if I'm going to Costco I'll drive the extra 5 minutes down Stoney to Crossiron. 10x less stressful

I was really annoyed at myself because that’s the exact reason I don’t go to that Costco. Mallzac is infinitely more accessible. ####, Chinook is easier to navigate.

The way to deal with Beacon Heights is to take the alley behind all of the stores.

I am wholly over the term "Karen". It may have been clever for a sliver of time during Covid, but the cringe I get whenever I see or hear it folds me up like a towel.

I dont know. It does suck that someone's name was appropriated as an insult, except for people named 'Chad' I have no sympathy for them.
I think the real thing is that we as a society need to maintain the position that 'acting like a Karen' is inappropriate behaviour and should be treated as such.
And if using the term 'Karen' is the only efficient method of getting that point across? Then so be it.

Pretty sure mine doesn't expire until like 2024 so I shouldn't have to worry about that for a few more years...I literally had this thought a few months ago and I'm now realizing we're less than a fortnight from 2024. Damn it.

That was earlier in the afternoon… took me 45min at about 445 today. And that wasn’t even parking at Costco. The inability for so many drivers to understand taking turns, or not occupying two lanes simultaneously, or insistently moving into a non existent spot even if it meant blocking the intersection so the other 3 directions also came to a stop. I still don’t understand the magic that allowed more vehicles to come in than could escape.

I just go to the one in Sunridge. Smaller, but it's got several access points.

But the Beacon Heights one is better connected with the pathways, so you could take a cargo bike, or steal a shopping cart and hoof it.

I hate cats but the worst is going over to someone's house and spending Christmas with them and there being cat hair on all the furniture, on the floors and floating in the air (basically everywhere.) How can people live like this on a daily basis?

Christmas night. We’ve had what, 3cm? of snow since forever. We already had the normal excessive amount of plows and sanders up to and including yesterday night. Twice today, the stat of stats, ####ing City plow and sander cruising our little neighbourhood dead end street. Such a bloody waste. Happy for the guy making ultra-OT, but Jesus
