I think the question is why you are making the comparison at all. What’s the point? Unless it’s just to complain about Huberdeau in yet another thread that has even less to do with Huberdeau than normal.

Don’t see why he’d be on the third line when he can produce on a top line. We all know why Huberdeau is on the 3rd line and not the top line.

When was he on the top line? For about 8 games last year, then put with Kadri who was awful and Lucic who is also awful?
This year? Put him with Sharangovich before he got used to the system in pre season?
If linemates matter for Kadri then they also matter for Huberdeau..

If they kept Kadri with Dube, Mangiapane or Lucic we'd have problems too. We could have easily said that about Kadri until he got the right linemates. Whether you like it or not linemates, & system both matter.
If we did the same with Sharangovich he'd still be on the 4th line.
Huberdeau hasn't played many games with Lindholm and Sharangovich. He won't be any worse than Mangiapane.

Yes, Huberdeau sucks but his line mates can’t help him get out of this.
He needs to help himself or he is toast until the Flames draft their next franchise forward

Kadris linemates helped him get out of it. He was one of our worst players last year and was pretty terrible to start this season too. Got the right mix and here we are.
