I missed the first two periods and when I finally turned on the game, I somehow read the score as 2-0 for the ducks. I didn't notice WE were winning until Greer scored.

Huberdeau should spend some of his $10.5M on a sports psychologist.

So the Flames spent all that time figuring out that the way to make the power play work is to put out four men and let the opponent have five. They totally forgot that tonight, and couldn't score on the power play unless they actually outnumbered the other team. These guys can't do anything right.

Speaking of which, what was with that power play at the end of the game? The most important moment of the night, and they didn't even complete a pass, let alone get a scoring chance. And they had a whole 3.1 seconds to work with, too. There's no excuse.

Just how bad is Markstrom? He couldn't make a single save in OT or the shootout. I'd tell them to fire him into the sun, but the sun would just go 5-hole and they would still be stuck with his sorry carcass.

It took a surprising 24 posts in for a Huberdeau reference on a solid road win shutout. Season high shots on net. Played fine.

- Markstrom with his first shutout of the season improves to .906sv%
- DeSimone with his first NHL goal
- Lindholm with one of his best games this season
- The PP scores
- Zary, Coleman, Sharangovich, and Ruzicka looked good and had several chances
- Hanifin with a very solid game, a couple of good blocks
- ANA kept whiffing on pucks from the slot
- Hope Carlsson is okay
- The Flames are going streaking with 3Ws and points in 5 straight

Credit where it’s due - Markstrom has been great these last two games.

The UFA’s all had great games.

All four lines rolling. Great to see that defensive clinic in the third.

I still have worry whenever I see the team playing in Anaheim due to the dark curse. So eat that Ducks!

I know it’s just an empty net goal but Greer has been a really good pickup for this team. He was solid all game and Huska even started using him in place of Mangiapane on the Lindholm line in the third period. I think his defensive game is really solid so Huska started using him more with the flames holding the lead in the third.
