Great quotes from Fujita. I don't know if she's the teams first real skating coach or they've just given her more visibility but I like it. Zary is skating at an NHL level and it's surprising to hear that was a criticism against him before.

I wonder why nhl trams don't hire more specific skill coaches like this. A speciality coaches salary's probably $100-200k. If they improve your $5-10m player even a tiny bit or push a prospect over the edge into a cheap rookie, it was well worth it.

...now make Fujita fix Coronato's skating.

2 points in last 9 games, he isn't going to help that line. Meanwhile Coleman has 9 points in same 9 games.

4(3G, 1A) of those 9 points came shorthanded, with Sharangovich getting the other primary point. That's a part of the reason why I wouldn't mind seeing them play with each other 5 on 5.

Meanwhile, Huberdeau has 0 points in the same 9 games, which is why I think he could use a different look, or spark on his line.

There's nowhere else you can play Huberdeau on this team unless you land a top 5 center out of nowhere. It's all been done and going back to some combination that didn't work is pointless. At least Backlund and Coleman still produce with this loaf next to them doing nothing.

I don't think it's the quality of center, it's the style.

He needs a center that carries the puck into the zone.

Zary is a natural center and loves to carry the puck, probably not this year until we're out but at least by next season I would like them to give it a try.

Trade Lindholm and why the hell not try it asap. But I agree, Zary seems like the best bet for some chemistry

Dawn Braid worked as a consultant with the team for awhile, I believe. Elite Prospects has 2019-20 listed for her, but I believe she was a part-timer for a lot of teams well before that.

Fujita joining the team as a full-time resource was part of an organizational push for more developmental resources that Treliving and Pascall were a part of.

The Pacific channel will join this game in progress once the Canucks-Stars game has ended.

This makes the Backlund line so much worse. We know Mangiapane plays well with Backlund and Coleman. Huberdeau needs to play with guys who can shoot the puck, that isn't Backlund or Coleman.

Mangiapane should go to the Backlund/Coleman line, at least you can get him going. Huberdeau goes to the Lindholm/Sharangovich line and maybe he can get going with a guy who knows how to shoot.

There's no drawback to swapping Huberdeau and Mangiapane. Neither are doing anything and we at least know Mangiapane is good with those two.

I'd like to see that tried – but with Sharangovich at C. In the past, Huberdeau worked better with left-shooting centres, and we know Lindholm can light it up playing RW.

Let's not fiddle with the lines. Team is playing well and pulling in same direction this past 6 weeks and until there's a few game legit slump (not just losses), no need.

Flames win tonight, Saturday will be tough though.
