It can take a while as well for a goaltender to adjust to the NHL. It hasn't been seamless for Wolf either. IMO Buffalo should be going after Berube hard as I don't think Granato ever had them playing a solid defensive system. They got by last season because a lot of their forwards had career seasons but this year a lot of them are regressing offensively and when you can't outscore your defense or goaltending you become the Oilers.

I suggested a discussion and atmosphere about hockey and rivalry without all the slamming. I pointed out that no one has commented on the Canucks in recent games.

Well, good luck with that on a hockey message board. The many, many Flames fans here are free to say disparaging and unflattering things about other NHL teams. Hell, many fans will say the same things about the Flames. We're not policing peoples's fan reactions.
If no one cares about the Canucks games, then no one cares. There is nothing you nor I can do about that.

Haha, alnigi's posts are the funniest thing in an OOT I've seen in a while. Imagine if you went to a party in the real world (in Calgary of course), and everyone's just mingling and discussing the ongoing hockey games and in barges alnigi wearing his 'nucks jersey, and he's just listening for a bit to see what people are talking about before he speaks. And when he speaks, it's what he says in his posts above but to other fans' faces. "WHAT ABOUT THE CANUCKS THOUGH?????? WHY DOESN'T ANYONE CARE ABOUT THE NUCKS?"

My personal favourite part was where he accused Trent of being racist for asking if English was his second language, which means he only associates English as a second language with people who are “not white”… which is probably closer to being racist than asking if English is your second language.

And then after he makes a fuss the guys in Flames jerseys start chirping the canucks per request, but hearing this he sinks back into his seat, deeply disturbed and shoots back with "can't we just discuss a rivalry here but without all the slamming? K-kind regards, of course."

It's OK alnigi you're welcome here.

But don't expect flames fans to care about the Canucks anywhere near as much as the Flames' provincial rivals. And tbh I don't think you'd want rabid V=NG disussion like there is around the Oilers because I don't think the "slamming" would be reeled in any and it might hurt your feelings. Take solace in the fact that this board has few feelings one way or the other about the team.
