Just started watching Firefly yesterday and I watched episode 5 on the train this morning. I am loving it. I really liked episode 3 when they find the transport that had been attacked by Reevers (sp?). I hope more episodes feature Reevers. They are interesting bad guys.

I've just re-watched the first episode, part 1 and 2. It's been a while, so it seems all new to me. Fox really screwed up when they didn't air the first episode first. It makes so much more sense when you watch the first episode, you know, first.

It's pretty much explained in the pilot.. I think.
Reavers.. they don't play a huge role in the show all that much, I don't want to ruin anything.. just watch the series, then the movie. you'll be happy. They end up playing a role in the entire story.
Dis, initial thoughts?

How I understand it is that Chinese, more specifically mandarin, has become incorporated into the language. Because when you get nearer into the core planets where it's more civilized, the...more sophisticated people take on a Chinese oppulence. Bleh. I'm so bad at explaining things, and it's all kind of murky as it's been a while since I've watched the entire series. Hope that helps in some way.

Yeah, not a whole lot or Reavers until the Movie (then..., well you'll see). I meant in my opinion about episode 5 the whole series really finds it's stride.
Which are people's favourite episodes?
Out of Gas, Objects in Space. Out of Gas, War Stories. All really great episodes. The Message is good, too.

Favourite Episode... easily, Heart of Gold.
It's just a great story, so many good lines, so many good moments.. all the characters are great in it. I loved it.

The chinese they speak is legit, they had someone on set each time to help them with that.. but yeah.. speaking more chinese.. well.. that's where the fact it's still just at TV Show comes into play.
