I think it would be to Eric and Derek's benefits not to mingle with the fans "off the record" on CP. Frankly, nothing good can come of it.
I wouldn't if I had a prominent position on TV/radio, at least. But in the end, it's their prerogative.
Sportsnet also shouldn't make personnel decisions based on what they read here and on other forums (i.e. Loubardias).
I'm surprised that players are much better at not succumbing to the temptation than media (outside of taking shots over twitter/x).
