Inconsistent Lightning face Flames team tired of close losses

With two wins in four games so far, the trip has been a microcosm of the Lightning's season. Tampa Bay has claimed four of six games, but that followed a four-game skid.

The perennial league power remains outside a playoff position, even with the league's leading scorer, Nikita Kucherov

Thanks Tsawwassen for getting the GDTs done while I was in Florida!

LOL, their top scorer has more than double the points of our top scorer.

The only good news is that they haven't defended particularly well this year, or had solid goaltending. Could be a 6-5 game by the end.

Time for the Flames to win a game. They’ve been close the last few and probably deserved to win a few of those.

Vasilevskiy has sure not been himself.

TB has become just a good team, despite having the best winger in the game, mainly because they’ve had to cut depth for the last couple seasons.

He's only played 9 games...and is back up to a .902...but that was with his first 4 starts after returning from injury being a bit rough.

He's put down a .959 in his last 5 starts though now and seems to have found his game. And of course Tampa is also 4-1-0 in those 5.

Markstrom back tonight?

Don't think this will go well regardless. But it'll probably be entertaining, so that counts as a win.

Yes, I was happy to see him play a good game last game for some reason

Vasilevskiy stood on his head against the Oilers the other night. I think he's pretty much back to form at this point. It will not be an easy test from the Flames tonight if they end up facing him.

Hosting the leading scorer in the league. Things surely can't get ugly....right?

Flames win. They make up for the slumping top end talent by outworking opponents across all 4 lines.

Now the question isn't whether we're going to get axed or smashed, it's how do we save face doing it.

Huge two points to avoid tonight.

I hope Zary and Sharongovich continue their run.

I hope he’s not back until after the xmas break. I’d like to get a longer look at what Wolf and Vladar can do.

Go Flames Go! I’ll be attending tonight and hoping for a big win. Haven’t seen the Flames win live since a game where Iginla was the first star versus Phoenix.
