Sad, really

What’s sad was his classless no comment, he’s not my coach answer that precipitated the fans’ anger. You get booed on home ice for a jerky, immature comment, you best expect you’re going to get asked about it. He made his own bed.

Not sure why people think the comment is classless when it was the truth. It's clear he wasn't a fan of the coach and took the right approach of not commenting on him.

Truth, meet consequences. He can dismiss a popular coach if he wants, but it comes across as immature, especially for a player whose poor play contributed to the losses and firing.

Kyrou isn’t getting run out of town over this. Knee jerk reaction, it will pass. Wouldn’t bother with any trade proposals. He will get time with the new coach and be allowed to figure it out.

A lot of Blues fans on social media are really ripping into Kyrou, calling him a one-dimensional prima donna among other things. That might be true, but I didn't realize their fanbase had such a toxic component to it. I guess all fan bases do, but they are really going hard on this.

Just own Huberdeau for what he is right now. Hanifin is worth a 1st (if not more). Prioritize that. Build your own team, and deal with your own problems as you move forward.
|
The Huberdeau redemption arc, in 6 years the Flames win the cup, Huberdeau the old vet shoring on the 4th line scores the winner.

Kyrou for Huberdeau I'd make that trade in a second. Doubt the Blues would though.

Apart from Bertuzzi or Marchment (air lifted in), have we ever booed our own?

It'll be way more Stajan-y than that, but still nice.

He made a dumb comment about the coach that took the Blues from literally dead last to their first Stanley Cup while Kyrou was still trying to become a full-time NHL'er.
Of course that fanbase is gonna side with Berube.
Awfully stupid battle to pick lol

The fan response is not proportional to what he said.

The Ducks top talent would have considerably more trade value that the Flames UFA's to be.
So, I think they'll stand pat with their "trade bait".

On its own, that’s debatable. But there’s also a few months of poor play that are fuelling fan frustration given his skill set and contract. It’s not very quiet and Canadian, but I’m fine with response.

The amount of media that played into what he said and the Kyrou/Berube relationship even before the game started made what happened much less surprising.
Was lots of buildup.
Maybe over the top, but on the other hand really nice to see a passionate fanbase come together showing an outgoing coach support.
They gave Kyrou the type of reaction for Berube that Huberdeau should be getting every game for Sutter

That's a strange way of expressing that opinion LOL.
You indicated they have no trade bait, when they have considerable.
