How will this affect his video games performance?

It’s crazy how close him and Matthews were at one point and then Matthews just ended up leapfrogging him by a lot

How did Laine ever get in a position to break a bone? Doesn't there have to be some sort of contact for that?

And Tkachuk

Remember how pissed people were for missing out on Laine and Pulju?

Where? Not here. Almost everyone was stoked about Tkachuk.

Laine was never an option. Poolparty was only briefly in the conversation because he dropped. Outside of that, there were maybe 2-3 posters disappointed. DoubleK was mad because we didn’t draft Alex Nylander (lol).

I meant before the draft and the Flames missed out on moving up the lottery. After the draft people were happy with Tkachuk performance from the beginning.

Yeah if I recall
- People were mad that Poolparty dropped to the Oilers
- People were stunned that the Canucks pick Joe Levi
- People were thrilled that the Flames got Tkachuk

Was a pretty wild start of that draft.

Yeah my recollection is that same. It was the Dubois pick at 3 that threw everything out of whack from the rankings, then when the Canucks came to the podium at 5 and announced “from the London knights….” My heart sank, only for them to follow that with “Olli juolevi “ I was just praying that the Flames would take the gift and not overthink it lol

Yup.

I remember everyone being ecstatic when we heard "The Vancouver Canucks select from the London Knights....Olli Juolevi"

I remember having a sigh of disappointment when I heard London Knights, and then everyone being happy when they said Juolevi.

Still such a great video of the Canucks fans realizing the pick was Juolevi

It really was one of the most entertaining draft days as a Flames fan.

Laine may have to just call it a career at this point. Take your $M's and play out your days in mom's basement... not the worst life really.

I think this would be the final nail in Kekalainen's coffin.
