TBH that will be a feel good story.

In the same period of time, and after a blistering hot start, Toffoli has scored 6 goals and 12 points. All of Sharangovich's 16 points have been even-strength, ahead of the pace compared to Toffoli's 13.

This trade is turning out to be great.
With his increased production of late, the broadcast is showing more and more of him and his demeanor when there's no play is dead. He shows up as a very calm player showing little to no emotion. Ice in his veins?

That's pretty good. And he hasn't been used a ton either (less sheltered lately but certainly was before). I thought we might have plucked a tweener who couldn't crack the devil's line up in playoffs for good reason but this guy was a hidden gem with a deadly shot who can play both sides of the puck.

Young guys with upside who need a change of scenery and picks. Get them all!

I'm liking his toolbox. He was bumped around the lineup for a while which affected his production. Right now he's arguably the best player on his line. If the Flames had a better overall power play Yegor would have a few more points, too.

I always knew Toffoli would get points playing top 6 and power play on that Devils team, either with Hughes or Hischier.

Skinner was a hated man in Buffalo for a couple of years until he figured it out again.
Skinner was banished to the 4th line and getting a raw deal from the coach - new staff and more ice time turned him back around. Huberdeau is still getting cushy PP1 time, lots of offensive starts and still nothing to show for it.

At this point it's best to just forget about him and hope he doesn't hurt the team too much on the ice. If Yegor, Coronato, Zary, Honek and Pelletier all surpass him on the depth charts over the next 2-3 years, the Flames won't need him anyway.

You're worrying about something that isn't our reality. That's just a hypothetical situation that may or may not come to pass. That's pure, empty anxiety.

This season - the now - is all about Zary and Wolf, Solo and Popsicle, and it's about a bunch of yet to be named future Flames.

Huska is establishing a 'work your ass off' culture, and I think that's evident on most nights - and I think Huberdeau is working his ass off most nights just like the rest of the team. He generated a number of quality chances last night (well, 2-3 that I can recall), and they were foiled by less-than-competent teammates.

Huberdeau sucks right now. The Flames suck right now. It's a good thing. Sucking right now does not guarantee future suckitude.

Lot's of luck doing that legally.
Get Conroy to pay a visit to Corey Perry and really get a blueprint of what he did.

And then lots and lots of 'Team Dinners' with lots and lots of booze...it might take a while, but it can be done!

Huberdeau's struggles are not great, but I didn't think we were to the point of writing fanfiction about it. How far we've fallen.

Such a good analogy for the Huberdeau apologists. But, I guess this is why we should have taken the $10.5 million car for a test drive before a historic 8 year deal.

Or sold it to someone else while everyone still thought it was a $10.5M car.

This isn't a bad analogy but it overlooks that the car they bought was a Ferrari, but the Ferrari is a bit of an old Ferrari that had lots of kilometers on it.

The Ferrari was also only being used only in perfect racing conditions to benefit it's performance on straight tracks, but it is now being asked to be more of an all purpose car used for all types of racing including more off-road racing.

So really they bought a 1993 Ferrari Mondial when really they wanted a Rolls-Royce Cullinan

Last game. That cross body hard pass out from below the goal lane across the royal road to someone coming from the left side. Lots of people remarked on it in the GT.

He had a couple great passes in that Dallas game that didn't get converted either. He really should have had 4 or 5 points that game and ended up with 2.

Easily his best game as a Flame and honestly a bit sad he didn't build on that game.

Hush, you. Huberdeau never does anything right. It is known, Khaleesi.

More likely you see Zary, Wolf, Shaggy off the team with our luck.
